E.C. ""Sonny"" Stokes founded our company over six decades ago because of the lack of professional, quality plumbing companies in our community. Located in Lake Worth, our headquarters and workshop is still active led by the direction of Susan, his daughter.

Stokes grew our footprint across South Florida, gaining recognition as a well-known entity in the construction of residential complexes, medical and research buildings, public and educational structures, and commercial developments. While we expanded in building, we recognized the demand for a service branch became apparent. Initially beginning by servicing our own constructions, Stokes Mechanical's plumbing and air conditioning service department developed significantly. With the launch of our General Plumbing division to Stokes in June of 2013, we are now an even greater force across the region.

In 1995, Mr. Stokes handed over the business to Susan, his daughter, who had been part of the team at the company since 1983. Beginning her career as a receptionist, Susan worked her way up becoming the bookkeeper, chief estimator, Vice President, and currently President/CEO. Susan received the state air conditioning license in 1989 and a plumbing license in 1992, making her the first the only female mechanical contractor in the county. She garnered several honors for her achievements as a female-owned business leader while also having served on the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board for five years from 1997 to 2002.
