Liam's journey began in Dublin City, Ireland, where he was raised. Liam embarked on his plumbing career in 1979 as a young apprentice pipe fitter at just fifteen. In 1984, he moved to Australia, working as a pipe fitter in oil refineries and chemical plants. He also gained experience in Holland and England, managing large projects before settling in Orlando in 1990. He founded Emerald Plumbing in 1996. With hard work and a focus on excellence, the company grew rapidly. Today, Liam views the business as a source of pride, much like a father with his child.

In 2015, I entered into a contract with a new construction plumbing firm in North Seminole County to serve as their Service Division. I quickly discovered that the owner had no intention of fulfilling the contract. His goal was to leverage the Drain Doctor name to draw in my clients and regain those he lost to price hikes.

I held on for three years to see if he would deliver on his promises. NOW, I AM BACK. Currently, Drain Doctor Plumbing and Drain remains the only plumbing company in Central Florida bold enough to display pricing on its website.

My journey in plumbing started when I joined a major plumbing company in Orlando, Florida in 1987. Within four years, I became the top revenue generator for Residential/Drain Cleaning and maintained that position for the next decade. I was promoted to Team Leader, Technician Trainer, and served as the Drain Cleaning Troubleshooter for challenging jobs that others often abandoned.

I received Team Member of the Month multiple times each year and earned several annual awards during my 16 years of service. I attended Seminole Community College's Apprentice Plumbing Program, successfully passed the state test, and earned my Journeyman Plumbing license in 1992. Out of 35 technicians at the large plumbing firm, I was one of just three licensed plumbers.

After passing the two-day State Contractor Test on my first attempt, I founded Drain Doctor Plumbers Inc. in 2003.
