Like any great entrepreneur, he devoted himself day and night, handing out flyers to find new customers and connections. Despite a difficult downturn in 2009, Pro-Tec Plumbing endured; each year, we increased our services by bringing on new employees, trucks, and tools to the company. Having reliably grown over the years, Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. has changed -- we are now Pro-Tec Plumbing, Water & Gas, a complete water system provider. What started as a solo operation is now a thriving company with over 50 employees. Though we continue to grow, Rick's original commitment remains the basis of Pro-Tec: develop a business centered on hard work and honesty and deliver the quality of work we would want in our own properties.

Brothers Richard (Rick) and Brandon Hume were raised in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where they lived until the early 2000s.

Brandon relocated to Florida in 2004 to enroll in Florida Gulf Coast University, where he was involved in golf and focused in finance. Meanwhile, Rick nurtured a increasing passion for plumbing; he became his license as a Master Plumber in 2008 and started what would grow into Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc.

After graduating from his degree, Brandon helped in digging Rick's first residential home in 2009. He decided to partner with his brother full-time as the company's vice president in 2011, managing the operations side of the operation.
