Like any determined entrepreneur, he dedicated himself day and night, handing out flyers to gain new customers and leads. Despite a difficult downturn in 2009, Pro-Tec Plumbing persisted; each year, we grew our capabilities by bringing on new staff, trucks, and tools to the company. Having consistently grown over the years, Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc. has transformed -- we are now Pro-Tec Plumbing, Water & Gas, a complete water system provider. What started as a solo operation is now a successful company with over 50 staff. Brothers Richard (Rick) and Brandon Hume were born in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where they grew up until the early 2000s.

Brandon moved to Florida in 2004 to study at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he played golf and majored in finance. Meanwhile, Rick nurtured a deepening passion for plumbing; he earned his license as a Master Plumber in 2008 and launched what would become Pro-Tec Plumbing, Inc.

After completing his degree, Brandon assisted in digging Rick's first residential project in 2009. He chose to partner with his brother full-time as the company's vice president in 2011, overseeing the office side of the operation.
