Liam grew up in Dublin City, Ireland, where his plumbing journey began. Liam embarked on his plumbing career in 1979 as a young apprentice pipe fitter at just fifteen. In 1984, he moved to Australia, working as a pipe fitter in oil refineries and chemical plants. After working on significant projects in Holland and England, Liam moved to Orlando in 1990. Liam started Emerald Plumbing in 1996. Thanks to his dedication and commitment to high standards, the company saw quick growth. Today, Liam takes great pride in the business he has built.

In 2015, I partnered with a new construction plumbing business in North Seminole County to act as their Service Division. I quickly discovered that the owner had no intention of fulfilling the contract. He sought to exploit the Drain Doctor brand to win back my customers and those he lost due to inflated prices.

I gave him three years to fulfill his commitments. AND NOW, I AM BACK. At present, Drain Doctor Plumbing and Drain is the only plumbing service in Central Florida willing to show pricing on its site.

My journey in plumbing started when I joined a major plumbing company in Orlando, Florida in 1987. Within four years, I became the top revenue generator for Residential/Drain Cleaning and maintained that position for the next decade. I advanced to Team Leader, Technician Trainer, and became the go-to Troubleshooter for tough drain cleaning tasks that others would give up on.

I received Team Member of the Month multiple times each year and earned several annual awards during my 16 years of service. I completed the Apprentice Plumbing Program at Seminole Community College, passed the state exam, and obtained my Journeyman Plumbing license in 1992. Out of 35 technicians at the large plumbing firm, I was one of just three licensed plumbers.

Upon passing the two-day State Contractor Test on my first attempt, I launched Drain Doctor Plumbers Inc. in 2003.
