Liam's journey began in Dublin City, Ireland, where he was raised. He started his plumbing career as a fifteen-year-old apprentice pipe fitter in 1979. Liam relocated to Australia in 1984, where he worked as a pipe fitter in oil refineries and chemical facilities. He also gained experience in Holland and England, managing large projects before settling in Orlando in 1990. Liam started Emerald Plumbing in 1996. With hard work and a focus on excellence, the company grew rapidly. Liam feels a deep sense of pride in the company he has created.

Drain Doctor Plumbers Inc. was launched by me in 2003. Understanding customer needs, I reduced the prices of large plumbing companies by $50.00. I was the first plumbing business in the state to display pricing online and provide quotes over the phone.

In 2015, I partnered with a new construction plumbing business in North Seminole County to act as their Service Division. I soon realized the owner was not committed to upholding the contract. He aimed to use the Drain Doctor name to attract my customers and reclaim those lost to unfair pricing.

I held on for three years to see if he would deliver on his promises. AND NOW, I AM BACK. Today, Drain Doctor Plumbing and Drain is still the sole plumbing company in Central Florida courageous enough to publish prices online.

I began my plumbing career with a large plumbing firm in Orlando, Florida in 1987. In just four years, I was the leading revenue producer for Residential/Drain Cleaning and held that title for ten years. I was promoted to Team Leader, Technician Trainer, and served as the Drain Cleaning Troubleshooter for challenging jobs that others often abandoned.

Over my 16 years, I was recognized as Team Member of the Month multiple times annually and garnered several yearly awards. I completed the Apprentice Plumbing Program at Seminole Community College, passed the state exam, and obtained my Journeyman Plumbing license in 1992. Out of 35 technicians at the large plumbing firm, I was one of just three licensed plumbers.

After passing the two-day State Contractor Test on my first attempt, I founded Drain Doctor Plumbers Inc. in 2003.
