After relocating my family to Florida in 2004, I had to start fresh and join a Plumbing and Mechanical Contractor to satisfy the 4-year experience requirement by Florida law before taking the state exam.

We established ourselves in 2005 as Volusia Gas & Welding and transformed into Gas, Plumbing & Mechanical Systems, Inc. in 2008 when I received my first state certification; Master Gas Installer License # LP803-27524. I achieved my State certified Plumbing license in 2010. I have been the gas industry since 1983 and the plumbing industry since I was old enough to carry tools for my dad in his plumbing business. I’ve been in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration trade for about over 14 years.

Well, I thought I didn't intend to work in Plumbing anymore, so I enlisted in the US Air Force prior to graduating in 1982 under the delayed entry program...my father was thrilled about the old man, I tell you. I wanted to travel the globe and uphold the family legacy to serve our great nation. I was stationed overseas in England up until 1986 and moved back stateside to Homestead, FL until 1989. I connected with my wife in the service, and we moved to Upstate NY, where we resided and started our family. I went to work for one of the largest gas suppliers in the country as a gas service technician. We spent the years 1990 to 2004 in the lovely region in the Northeast. The winters became too harsh, so we moved back to Florida. I always wanted to own my own business, so this is our journey. A family-run local business. With my experience as a retired handyman, I offer a wide range of services to meet your needs. My expertise lies in constructing decks and outdoor kitchens, but I also tackle fencing and small outdoor structures.
