Brothers Richard (Rick) and Brandon Hume were brought up in Plymouth, Massachusetts, where they lived until the early 2000s.

Brandon relocated to Florida in 2004 to enroll in Florida Gulf Coast University, where he was a golfer and focused on finance. Meanwhile, Rick nurtured a dedication for plumbing; he achieved his license as a Master Plumber in 2008 and started what would evolve into PRO-TEC Plumbing, Inc.

After graduating from his studies, Brandon helped in excavating Rick's first residential project in 2009. He chose to team up with his brother permanently as the company's vice president in the year 2011, managing the operations side of the operation.

The two have grown PRO-TEC Plumbing, Inc. from a modest operation into a thriving water system organization. But their ideology remains the same: offer superior customer service and generate results they would want in their own homes.
