Born and raised in Dublin City, Ireland, Liam's journey started. He started his plumbing career as a fifteen-year-old apprentice pipe fitter in 1979. In 1984, he moved to Australia, working as a pipe fitter in oil refineries and chemical plants. Liam further honed his skills in Holland and England, overseeing major projects before arriving in Orlando in 1990. Liam started Emerald Plumbing in 1996. With hard work and a focus on excellence, the company grew rapidly. Liam feels a deep sense of pride in the company he has created.

I signed a contract with a new construction plumbing company in North Seminole County in 2015 to be their Service Division. I soon realized the owner was not committed to upholding the contract. He sought to exploit the Drain Doctor brand to win back my customers and those he lost due to inflated prices.

I waited three years to see if he would keep his promises. NOW, I AM BACK. Currently, Drain Doctor Plumbing and Drain remains the only plumbing company in Central Florida bold enough to display pricing on its website.

I entered the plumbing industry by working for a large plumbing company in Orlando, Florida in 1987. In just four years, I was the leading revenue producer for Residential/Drain Cleaning and held that title for ten years. I took on roles as Team Leader, Technician Trainer, and was the Troubleshooter for difficult drain cleaning jobs that other technicians and companies often left unresolved.

Throughout my 16 years, I was honored as Team Member of the Month several times a year and received numerous yearly accolades. I completed the Apprentice Plumbing Program at Seminole Community College, passed the state exam, and obtained my Journeyman Plumbing license in 1992. Out of 35 technicians at the large plumbing firm, I was one of just three licensed plumbers.

After passing the two-day State Contractor Test on my first attempt, I founded Drain Doctor Plumbers Inc. in 2003.
