Born and raised in Dublin City, Ireland, Liam's journey started. Liam embarked on his plumbing career in 1979 as a young apprentice pipe fitter at just fifteen. In 1984, he moved to Australia, working as a pipe fitter in oil refineries and chemical plants. He also gained experience in Holland and England, managing large projects before settling in Orlando in 1990. He founded Emerald Plumbing in 1996. With hard work and a focus on excellence, the company grew rapidly. Liam feels a deep sense of pride in the company he has created.

I began my plumbing career with a large plumbing firm in Orlando, Florida in 1987. Within four years, I became the top revenue generator for Residential/Drain Cleaning and maintained that position for the next decade. I took on roles as Team Leader, Technician Trainer, and was the Troubleshooter for difficult drain cleaning jobs that other technicians and companies often left unresolved.

Over my 16 years, I was recognized as Team Member of the Month multiple times annually and garnered several yearly awards. I enrolled in the Apprentice Plumbing Program at Seminole Community College, passed the state examination, and received my Journeyman Plumbing license in 1992. I was one of only three licensed plumbers among 35 technicians at the large plumbing company.

After passing the two-day State Contractor Test on my first attempt, I founded Drain Doctor Plumbers Inc. in 2003.

Returning to Orlando in 1986, Harvey was employed as a heavy equipment operator while Marcia performed clerical work. In 1988, Harvey began his career at Roto-Rooter. While at Roto-Rooter, Harvey secured his Florida Contractors Plumbing License. He left Roto-Rooter 13 years later for new opportunities.

In 1975, Frank Bracco established Modern Plumbing Industries, Inc., a family-operated business that originated from his car. In that first year, we had merely two clients, but by 1979, our workforce had grown to 10, and we were serving many customers in the Orlando area. In 1979, we officially adopted the name Modern Plumbing and Irrigation and soon included US Homes among our notable clients. In the following years, our workforce grew to nearly 70 employees to support the production of around 600 residential homes annually.
