This is the story of a person who originally aimed to keep a three-day workweek and go back to school.

Originally from southern Illinois, I made my way to San Francisco in 1970, and worked in the shipyards and the corporate moving sector from the late '70s to early '80s. I undertook my journeyman apprenticeship with a well-known plumbing company starting in the mid-1980s, and I worked there for eight years. Subsequently, I returned to the shipyards for a time, until 1991 when I encountered my best friend and my soulmate, and we moved to Longmont, CO. I took a job with the Boulder County Sheriff's Department and the local government of Longmont before starting Drain Away. The rest is history.
