Lloyd earned his contractor's license in 1965 and relocated to Thousand Oaks to start Lloyd's Plumbing.

In 1980, Ed succeeded Lloyd as the head of the business after Lloyd's retirement. Ed was inspired to not only be the best but also to maintain professionalism. He introduced clean trucks, uniformed technicians, friendly customer service receptionists, and a “nothing we can't do, and do well” attitude for the company.
