I began my plumbing career as an apprentice in Culver City, California in 1972. In 1977, I launched my own plumbing business in Marina Del Rey, California, focusing primarily on new construction. In 1978, I closed that business and moved to Palm Springs, California. I began working at Barrett Plumbing, a well-known plumbing company in the valley back then. I worked there until 1980, when I decided to re-enter the business. On this occasion, I partnered with Chuck Barrett, the grandson of the owner of Barrett Plumbing. This led to the creation of the name KC's 23 1/2 Hour Plumbing. In 1980, I acquired Chuck's share, and KC's 23 1/2 Hour Plumbing has been serving the Valley since.
