In 1965, Lloyd obtained his contractor's license and moved to Thousand Oaks to establish Lloyd's Plumbing.

In 1980, Ed succeeded Lloyd as the head of the business after Lloyd's retirement. Ed aimed not just for excellence but also for a professional approach. He implemented clean vehicles, uniformed staff, helpful customer service representatives, and a “we can handle anything” mindset for the company.
