Co-owner Taylor, raised on Kauai, has always had a strong interest in construction. When he was just 8, he constructed his first building, a tree fort crafted from salvaged wood, complete with a drawbridge, bedroom, screened porch, and garage. After earning a politics degree from UCSC, Taylor furthered his building interests by working with a general contractor in Santa Cruz. He found himself increasingly inspired and driven by the principles of green building.
