In 1983, the Plum family acquired the business from Bill Palmer.

Bob grew up in Napa and moved to Healdsburg with his family in 1973 after serving in the US Navy.

Bob launched his career in construction and earned his license as a general contractor, focusing on custom homes.

Bob came on board to help his uncle in the pump business in 1985 for a few weeks.

Three months later, he added a concrete tank business to Luciani.

After 15 years of building concrete tanks and water systems, Bob chose to streamline the workload to focus solely on pumps and water system design and maintenance.
