The shutting down of the company in the year 2000 motivated me to manage Daystar Plumbing as my primary focus, upholding service in the Marin area, the city, and San Mateo Counties as I had with Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing, and to maintain service agreements with Kohler Company, Bosch/AquaStar, and others.

I am grateful to Bright and Mike for the essential knowledge and understanding I gained from them.

I brought my fully-stocked Daystar service truck to support Mike's customer base, quickly switching branding signs for the two businesses as required.

I maintain a good relationship with both of them, and previous coworkers of the businesses.

My journey in plumbing started doing plumbing for a community member, the owner of Bright Plumbing, in 1982 after arriving to San Francisco from my teaching stint in Japan for 2 1/2 years.

I care about sustainability, and have made several trips with a group to lobby government officials, the executive branch and global institutions regarding environmental protection and the environment at my expense.

I have been actively involved in environmental advocacy, working against egregiously bad development, and am currently active in Pacificans for Sustainable Development, the climate committee in Pacifica, & the city council designated ""Task Force for Climate Action"".
