The closing of the company in the early 2000s inspired me to manage Daystar Plumbing as my main venture, continuing service in Marin County, SF, and San Mateo Counties as I had with the previous company, and to maintain service agreements with Kohler Company, AquaStar, and additional manufacturers.

I am thankful to these two individuals for the invaluable experience and wisdom I gained from their guidance.

I brought my completely outfitted Daystar van to serve the clients of Mike, quickly swapping branding signs for the two companies as appropriate.

I maintain very friendly terms with both of them, and previous coworkers of the businesses.

I started doing plumbing for a neighbor, my neighbor, in the year 1982 after returning to SF from teaching English in Japan for 2 1/2 years.

I care about the environment, and have made several trips with a coalition to speak to Congress, the White House and the World Bank regarding environmental protection and the natural world at my own expense.

I am actively engaged in environment-oriented issues, actively opposing harmful projects, and am currently participating in Pacificans for Sustainable Development, the Pacifica Climate Committee, & the city council designated ""Climate Action Task Force"".

I read ""Scientific American magazine"", ""the publication Scientific American Mind"", ""Science News magazine"", and ""the publication Parabola"" in their entirety each issue.
