I obtained my certification at the advice of my initial boss, the owner of Bright Plumbing in SF, for whom I was employed over a decade. I then was employed for nearly a decade with the owner of Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing, while serving a small but growing Daystar clientele as well.

The shutting down of Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing in 2000 prompted me to operate Daystar Plumbing as my primary focus, upholding service in the Marin area, the city, and San Mateo County as I had with Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing, and to maintain guarantee work with Kohler Co., Bosch/AquaStar, and various brands.

I am grateful to both men for the valuable lessons and understanding I learned from their guidance.

I deployed my well-equipped Daystar service truck to serve the clients of Mike, seamlessly switching business signs for the two businesses as needed.

I maintain a positive rapport with them, and former fellow employees of those businesses.

I began doing plumbing for a local resident, the owner of Bright Plumbing, in the year 1982 after returning to San Francisco from my time teaching English in Japan for two and a half years.

I have a strong commitment about sustainability, and have made multiple journeys with a coalition to advocate Congress, the White House and global institutions regarding sustainable forestry and the natural world at my personal cost.

I participate in environmental advocacy, helping to defeat harmful projects, and am currently involved in Pacificans for Sustainable Development, the Pacifica Climate Committee, & the city council designated ""Climate Action Task Force"".
