I secured my credentials at the advice of my first employer, the founder of Bright Plumbing in the Bay Area, for whom I worked 11 years. Subsequently was employed for nearly a decade with the founder of Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing, while catering to a small but growing client base as well.

The closing of Lipsey/Mill Valley Plumbing in 2000 prompted me to operate Daystar Plumbing as my main venture, upholding service in Marin County, the city, and the surrounding areas as I had with my former employer, and to carry on service agreements with Kohler Company, Bosch/AquaStar, and others.

I am grateful to these two individuals for the valuable lessons and insight I gained from them.

I brought my completely outfitted Daystar vehicle to serve the clients of Mike, quickly swapping magnetic signs for the two companies as appropriate.

I maintain a good relationship with both of them, and ex-colleagues of those businesses.

My journey in plumbing started doing plumbing for a community member, Bright Winn, in the early 1980s after arriving to the Bay Area from my time teaching English in Japan for two and a half years.

I am passionate about sustainability, and have made multiple journeys with a team to lobby government officials, the White House and global institutions regarding sustainable forestry and the ecosystem at my own expense.

I participate in environmental advocacy, actively opposing poorly planned developments, and am currently active in local sustainability efforts, the Pacifica Climate Committee, & the city council-selected ""Task Force for Climate Action"".
