In March 2008, we launched Santa Cruz Green Builders and have been constructing homes and workspaces that benefit both the planet and its inhabitants ever since.

Spencer Keenan holds a degree in Industrial Design from San Francisco State University. His education equipped him to take designs from concept to completion and to devise solutions for challenges that arise during the process. Co-owner Taylor, raised on Kauai, has always had a strong interest in construction. At the age of 8, he built his first structure, a tree fort made from reclaimed wood, featuring a drawbridge, bedroom, screened porch, and garage. After graduating from UCSC with a degree in politics, Taylor continued to explore his building interests by working under a general contractor in Santa Cruz. His passion for green building grew stronger and more motivating. Now, as a Certified Green Building Professional, Taylor incorporates his knowledge and skills into all our projects.
