Following high school and his LDS mission, Ron trained as an apprentice carpenter. He soon became a journeyman carpenter Ron relocated to Alaska in 1983, worked for two years, and then pursued a teaching degree in construction trades. After teaching in the valley for three years, he decided to start his own business and founded The Plug Buster He has been proudly serving the valley for the last 22 years While doing all of this, he has also been an adult scout leader for 38 years
