Both hail from Alabama, with Richard spending much of his life in the Auburn area, where he graduated from Auburn University with a degree in marketing. His summers were spent in the oil field sector, gaining practical experience with tools and machinery. This experience provided him with valuable skills in handling tools and mechanical equipment.

Over the past 25 years, Richard's career has taken him into catheterization labs and operating rooms as a medical device representative. He discovered that there is no substitute for professionalism, expertise, and effective communication, and that there is no room for errors.
