I had a leaky shower faucet. I ignored it initially assuming I shall get the job done over the weekend, but it got worse overnight and would be leaking almost 1 gallon/min and too hot water. We closed the hot water to reduce the flow. I am savvy enough and knew it was the deflector that was malfunctioning. I tried opening to see if I could do the repair, but one of the screwed was jammed. Messed up the head.

I called the big brand name company, they came over next day 3 hours late, and gave me a quote of $850 for a part that would cost $50 and 45 min to replace once they got the screw out. I was surprised at the quote. I called another big guys, and they gave me similar quote.

In the meantime I found Zoltan on craiglist, and thought shall give a chance. He called me back at 7 pm. We spoke about the issue and he was clear what he wanted to do an initial plan and then as backup plan(including replacing the whole unit by cutting the wall etc) and told me the price on phone. Much cheaper than anyone . I was bit reluctant, but then with him.

He showed up on time, and right away looked at the issue and said he will go with plan A and that would cost me $250 and if it did not work then go with plan B(450$). I agreed, and he pulled the cartridge out, went to home depot, got the new one, and all done in less than 1 hour. He gave me some tips why this happened. we don't turn on our moisture fan, and that caused the screws to jam up. I was so happy I gave him $20 extra, even though he refused initially.

He also gave me tips when I said I was planning to remodel that bathroom and take away the tub. He said you don't want to reduce the value of the house as that would make it a 3/4 th bathroom rather than full bath. My remodel guy never mentioned that to me. Also Zoltan said that it would cost me at least another $2000 in plumbing itself. Amazing guy.

I have him on my preferred plumbing guy and plan to share with al my friends.

I found him on craigslist. He came on a Saturday and replaced pipes and installed a new dishwasher. Very professional and friendly. His pricing was the best we found and the work was great. We will be using him again for more projects. Highly recommended.

What a great guy and a great plumber. He's prompt and very professional. He took his time and was very careful with my old plumbing so as not to break anything.

Zoltan was very fair as far as the pricing of my job. I know for a fact that other plumbers would have charged 50% higher. I think that being an independent plumber lets him set the prices as he sees fit and gives him the freedom to take a little longer to ensure the job is done at the highest standard.

Plus, he's a great guy to talk with about plumbing and life for an hour!

Zoltan recently replaced the entire plumbing system for a duplex that I property manage. The building is quite old with minimal access space. We were installing a hydronic heating system and needed a plumber to assist with assembling the mechanicals and piping. The plumber who was going to help out bailed on us so we brought Zoltan in to have a look. He had no experience with these systems but was up to to the challenge and agreed to come in the next morning at 9 am. Admittedly, there were some apprehensions but Zoltan was there at 9 prompt and cheerfullly worked diligently without stopping until the system was assembled. He then came by the next morning to stand by while we tested the system in case there were any problems. Zoltan saved our bacon in a big big way!

Prompt, dependable, cheerful, and conscientious, Zoltan is a great guy!
