If I could rate 0, I would.
Very poor follow up. Problem with refrig mis-dignosted then real problem.The initial visit was 20 mins cost $99. What can you evaluate in just 20 min?
Communication is a huge problem, lots of talk no results. .Zip never came back to ID the real problem, their solution was to order every part in the refrieration system (have me pay for all in advance) come in next week to install.
Look for someone else to fix your appliances , I have.

I am a little torn on this review. From the time I called to and time I had a technician at my house to check out my dishwasher was a time interval of an hour and a half. Very impressed by that prompt service. He spent about one hour here and came up with a diagnosis to replace the circulator pump. That service visit was excellent. I did receive the quote within a couple hours and the pump cost about 200 but the actual labor was going to be charged as $290. I did some reading online and that labor cost was much higher than competitors and the pump also seemed relatively easy to install. As background, I have done random house fixing up and have replaced a water valve on a dishwasher before but I have never installed or put a dishwasher on its back for further service. By comparing the new pump which I bought for slightly less than theirs and comparing it to the old pump, I was able to replace it without issue within about the time it took me to cook a lasagna. That is the reason they lost stars.

I have been earlier reached out to about if I wanted to proceed after I had received the quote and I stated that I felt uncomfortable with the high labor cost. There was no response to that message but instead the quote was canceled. Not quite a good feeling but not a big deal there. It seems like others had the offer that the diagnosis cost would go towards the service fee which I was not offered. I feel like I would've paid about $150 for labor plus the $200 for the pump but I had a hard time paying to what amounted to $290 per hour. They offered me a 90 day warranty with their pump, and the pump I bought a two-year warranty.

I would probably use them again but I am cautious about quotes for the actual repairs being offered.

my 1st time with zip and I am very pleased. contacting them and setting up appointment was a breeze. They were able to get out here very fast and confirmed with text messages and calls when exactly the repair man would be here. The office staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, my part was ordered quickly and we are finishing the rest of the work. I would absolutely recommend this company to another person and I think they did an excellent, job very pleased.

What the heck??

More like a broken Zipper than a Zip.

Called them and they didn't know if they service our area. We are about 40 minutes from Bakersfield, but it's still lame not to know. They called back an hour later to say yes they did. Man! That took an hour!?!? I explained the problem, the make and model of our appliance, and the part we would need. The lady says ""Well I don't know if we have that part"". I'm like ""Well there is no need to come without it. Can you check? And if you don't have it, maybe you need to order it before you come. And maybe let me know how long that will take."" Her reply was "" I can transfer you to our parts department"".

Okay. So let me understand. I call you for help and then I need to do your job too?? I said ""I will figure this out, have a nice day"" and hung up.

We went with another place that was awesome all around.

Funny. She calls back two days later and asks ""Do you still need your appliance repaired?""

Seriously?? What the heck??

I felt like saying ""Yes, I do. Please transfer me to your parts department.""

it took a few visits but Eric finally got my 15yrs built-in fridge back running. it was more than one visit i would care for but i knew this was not an ez task, one company did not even want to touch it and the other only want to replace one part for almost the same cost. after i got about 3 bids and Zip price was best. the service was not cheap but neither was my built-in fridge, i'm happy with their service and would use them for the other works when needed.

Once again I had to call Zip Appliances to come out and repair my Samsung washer. The tub would not spin (the second time this happened). As usual, Zip came out the same day and on time. I have always been impressed with their service and servicemen. This time Jose answered the call. After reviewing the problem Jose said the suspension rods needed to be replaced. He gave me an estimate of some $ 577.39 for parts and labor. $ 264.56 for the rods and $ 291.00 for labor. Now here is where the rub comes in, after checking the parts online I found that you can buy the same part on Amazon for $ 39.99!
For the life of me, I don't understand some companies mark up parts to such a ridiculous amount, in the case near $ 700%. As I have said before, I really like Zip and its service but I must take a breather in the future. Sorry, I had to write this review but I want to be fair with others here on Yelp.
