Had a well pressure tank replaced. Paid the 50% mark up (so I wasn't told the tank I bought wasn't good quality). It leaked at the new fitting. I called and a repairman was scheduled. I was told that more pipe would have to be replaced and I would have to pay for time and parts (parts would cost about $35 ) or I could have the existing parts tightened but I might have get that repaired and then pay for the whole thing all over again, so he told the manager that it was leaking at the existing fittings. After speaking with the Manager he said to keep me happy I would only have to pay for parts.. mysteriously the cost of the parts went up to $65 after the repair was completeted. I haven't received a receipt and they don't take checks

I don't normally write reviews but in this case I will make an exception. If I could give negative stars I would. When I had Zimmerman's come out to give me a quote they charged $110 for a quote. Now, I knew this in advance and I liked that they would apply that money to the job when it was time. However, it took them 5 days to get my quote to me. When I called to get it figured out I was told that they were having email problems. I gave them a second email to try as they suggested. A few hours later, I had nothing. I called to see if they could fax it to me. My bank was waiting on this quote and I needed it in order to close on my house. When I suggested faxing it the reply I got was a very annoyed ""I guess I can try"". This was 5 days after the guy came to the house to check out the damage.

Fast forward, I am now ready to schedule them. I call and we play a little phone tag for almost a week as the receptionist tries to get me in touch with the guy that came out to my house. Finally, I call when he is in and I talk to him for two seconds and he sends me back to the receptionist who could have scheduled me in the first place. Then, there was a question about payment (this was an escrow situation) after the appointment was set. The receptionist says she will ask her boss and that was the end of the conversation. At no point did anyone say anything about cancelling the appointment we had just set. My family went to the house at 7am the day of the appointment and waited two hours for the plumber who never showed. When I called to ask about getting a new appointment they said they assumed that I wanted to cancel the appointment. Then, they couldn't just set a new one for some reason because they needed to verify something and said they would call me back. They never did. That was two days ago.

I have now already had a new plumber come out to the house, look at the leak and hand me a quote for no money up front.

Needless to say, I will never go back to Zimmerman's/Roto-Rooter (they are now the same company) again.
