My basement drain overflowed on a Saturday evening and I contacted Zien for emergency service. A worker came out and spent 2 hours trying to unclog the drain, but was using the WRONG EQUIPMENT. The cable was far too small for a large pipe, the head he used was also small and the machine was not strong enough. He then told me it needed to be ""jetted"" at a cost of $1000. He left a huge contaminated sewage mess, including the tree roots all over my basement floor. He cleaned up NOTHING. As I followed him up the basement stairs, his machine was dripping a trail of contaminated sewage water all over the stair carpet. It will have to be replaced. I have never had a repair person make such a filthy mess in my home and walk away. I did not trust his advice and instead, called a different company to come out. The other company cleared the pipe within 20 minutes with the proper equipment. They also laid a tarp down and covered things. They did not leave a single drop of water on my floor. Zien is clearly incompetent and unprofessional. Not only did they NOT fix the problem, they created a toxic, disgusting mess and damaged my home. I contacted them to provide feedback, however, the ""service manager"" never returned my call. If you enjoy cleaning up sewage, they are the company for you.
Addendum: I later discussed with the service manager what had happened and he did listen and address my concerns appropriately.

Drivers need to be reminded that your company vans are a rolling advertisement.I had one cut me off on I-41 south this morning just south of Capital Drive.Moving far left lane to the middle.After only giving me inches to spare,i moved to the far right lane to away from him,and he did the same move again to get into the right lane in front of me.Past Silver Spring I watched him move back to the middle lane.All of this to pass cars on the right side?Maybe he needs to leave earlier.Unit #71

I have used Zien Mechanical for a number of plumbing issues. I am very please with the fast service, professional contractors and detailed understanding of the bill of service. I have used other plumbing companies and Zien prices are very competitive. I

They cost me just under $1,000 in furnace repairs because they did not install the furnace correctly. I purchased a brand new Payne furnace from Zien. They assured this was a great furnace and very robust and dependable. After 1 year the furnace stopped working! They assessed the cause of the failure and it was caused from their incorrect installation. Guess what!?! Then they charged me to fix it! I had no choice but to pay them because it was zero degrees and I needed the furnace fixed ASAP. I tried to get them to cover the cost of repair after the fact and they not only did not oblige, their customer service rep (Chaz) was very disrespectful! I even sent a letter to the owner of the company and he refused to help. Zien has been around for a while and yet not registered with the Better Business Bureau...now I know why. Stay away from this company for any needs! They do not stand by their products or service!

One of this companies service pick-up truck's purposefully encroached on a bicyclist this morning on South Lake Drive in St. Francis. The driver positioned his truck within inches of the left hand side of the bicyclist and clearly shouted something at the rider.

South Lake Drive between College and Howard has very little traffic in the morning and has 4 lanes to support traffic.

Bikes have the same rights on the road as automobiles, horses and tractors. WI law requires automobiles give at least 3ft when passing a bicyclist.

I wouldn't want this guy in my house working on my heating or cooling.
