We went through American Home Shield to request service to our 2 water heaters for issues with our hot water (slow to heat, not hot enough). Nicholas showed up, sat in his van for 10 minutes, rang the bell and immediately seemed short even when introducing himself. I showed him to our hot water heaters in the garage, and went back to my office. Five minutes later he walked out of the house and as he walked back in my husband called to get status. I asked Nicholas for status as I had my husband on speaker and only then did he ask if the issue we were having is no hot water. I told him it takes a while and to which he replied, but you get hot water? I said well eventually, and my husband mentioned we get hot water after running it for 10 minutes but it isn't as hot as we'd like. Then Nicholas asked have you ever had hot water? I had already mentioned we only purchased the home 3 months ago and told him, as I mentioned we have only been in the home for 3 months, he rolled his eyes and sighed and said well then any of the time have you had hot water? I explained its been like this since we've been in the home. My husband asked what is the plan, and he said without looking behind the walls to see if the heaters are connected we can't tell. You may need to drain them or replace them. My husband asked another question and Nicholas said I have my tools and I'm going to check, I can't tell you anything until the and started to walk off as my husband was asking another question. His entire demeanor was rude, and he seemed annoyed and extremely unprofessional. We told him we'd hire another plumber and his services weren't needed. I have never been treated so rudely in my own home, and now I feel unsafe that he was even in my home. This was the WORST experience and example of how this company treats their customers - do NOT use this company.

READ THIS for your own sake. This company has cost us money and made our situation worse. We had to use them because of our home warranty having a contract with them otherwise we would not have. They were called to clear a clog in our sewer line under the house. They weren't able to do it with an auger so they came back the next day with a 4,000 PSI hydro jet and cleared the clog as well as broke our pipe. Now we have a $5,000 fix under our house along with Zeus keeping our money. This is the shadiest business in every aspect that I've ever had an experience with.

A star is required, otherwise this company wouldn't get anything from me. I was charged half of the amount for a job that was never completed. Called several times for updates had my warranty company call for follow ups and I finally canceled my work order. I called for a refund in December and never received it.

Around December 2020 I used my Super Home Warranty to have a technician come out and identify problems with my slow draining tub and toilet. They recommended running a camera which I had to pay for myself. When a second technician came out they accidentally broke my toilet. No problem, accidents happen. However, it is December 2021 and my toilet has STILL not been relaced. I have called around 10 times over the course of the year to get it scheduled for repair. I'm always told someone will call me back and no one ever does. They switched over to a new record keeping system and I have to explain the situation over and over again. This is despite me talking to basically the same two people. The technicians were fine but the office staff have no problem solving skills. If you won't let your scheduler assist with customer service issues then the supervisor needs to come to work or be available to take these calls when issues come up.

Warranty company assigned them to repair our hot water heater. Travis came out and informed us we would get a quote tomorrow and they would come out to repair. Next day came and no call. I contacted the company who then took my message and a few hrs later Travis called back to informed me the cost of my new water heater and labor would be around $2400 out of pocket that's is after the $800 the warranty company will pay I asked why $2400 out of pocket so he broke it down for me access fee, new pan new expander new line etc I asked why do we have replace these items as they were replaced in 2019. To which he replied it isn't worth just exchanging the water heater He must have heard my gasp because he then redirected and said they have to replace these items so that they can warranty it. I told him I didn't need their warranty just the water heater tank. I reported this to the office manager who told me that she would work something out with me. Still haven't heard back from her that was 3 days ago.
What happened to honest business practices treating combustibles fairly and honestly?

Horrible experience, tried ripping me off and selling me unnecessary equipment. Buyer beware on this one.

I was very worried when First American Home Warranty assigned Zeus to provide our plumbing service. I do check ratings online. But I must say that I experienced good things once I decided to deal directly with Zeus.
I'll start with what wasn't great (though it ended well): I made my service request on a Wednesday. By the following Tuesday (after Labor Day) I had not received a call to set up an appointment. So, I called First American back. I was put on hold for quite a while and the lady told me they could come Friday but they didn't have a time yet. I called Zeus on the following day to get a time for Friday. They had no appointment down for me but told me they could come on Monday first thing. I was not happy at all. But Zeus was very kind and tried hard to fit me in quick.
I now suspect First American was the original problem. This isn't my first issue with First American. And I suspect the warranty companies are the issue with so many bad reviews. Once I dealt with Zeus directly I found them to be extremely courteous.
Cody came this morning and chatted politely with me while he worked. And he was very fast and super friendly. I think if all their employees were as kind as he, they'd have outstanding reviews. All techs should realize if their employer isn't doing well, neither are they. But you could tell that Cody cared to do a wonderful job. So I feel compelled to rate the company for his good job. And honestly this is the first tech in THREE YEARS that has come to fix something via our warranty company and didn't try to upcharge me for something I don't need. I was honestly thinking of getting rid of First American. But this positive experience has made me see perhaps it's just individuals that hurt companies. And Cody is not one. He truly seems to care about people and the company he works for. What a breath of fresh air.
And now I can use my sink. Thank God!

This company was assigned to me by my home warranty for a leak issue on Thursday evening. They were supposed to call and schedule, but never did. I finally called them around noon on Friday, and they couldn't schedule until Monday, with the unprofessional scheduler informing me she would much rather have had rum in her Dr. Pepper, it being a Friday. Ok, I rolled with it. I took Monday off, and around 9:20 got a call canceling the service, with no reschedule available before Wednesday. I couldn't take any more time off, and when I informed the scheduler of that, she got angry and defensive, and eventually hung up on me. Needless to say, I called my home warranty company back and informed them of the issue. I have another plumber scheduled now after the scheduler at Zeus was also extremely rude to the home warranty company. If you need emergency service, save your time and go somewhere else.
