John A.I was introduced to Zeus Plumbing thru my home warranty, and they were very professional from start to finish! No mess, quick repairs and a thorough job. I will ise them again even after my warranty expires.
They were recently sent out to my home via my AHM home warranty for a blocked washing machine drain. They couldn't find a clean out (there are 2 within 8 feet of the washing machine drain) so they wanted to put in another one at the washing machine drain for $375! When I asked why they needed that and couldn't use the other clean outs they said that they needed a 3rd clean out-WHAT?! I'm not a plumber, but even I know that you don't need a clean out for every drain in your house-they just wanted my money! On top of that, I paid the $60 insurance service fee and they wouldn't give it back even though they did nothing to fix my problem. I ended up having to call another plumber to come out and within 5 minutes this new plumber had found and blasted out the blockage from our existing cleanout. Zeus was just looking to make some extra money on a "repair" that didn't need to be done and couldn't even do the job we'd called them out to do-PLUS they stole our $60 service fee and won't give it back b/c they sent someone out, despite the fact that when they left after that visit, they had done nothing!

Zeus came out to my house when dispatched by my home warranty in August 2013. I noticed water on my bathroom floor and felt that there was a leak in my bathroom wall. They did come out on time and rather quick. That I will applaud them for. However, the guy that came out spent a total of 2 minutes in my bathroom. He looked at the wall and said the water was a fluke. That he didn't feel it was an ongoing problem. He very quickly looked at the base board in my daughters room that is attached to the wall in the bathroom. I was concerned that maybe a leak was rotting the board. He told me that it was a bad patch job by the people we bought the house from. Not being a plumber I took his word for it.
Fast forward to December 2013. I again found water on my bathroom floor. I called my home warranty again and requested a different company come out. The men just left and guess what??? There is a leak in the shower riser. Water has been leaking out of it for every shower in the last 4 months. The base board was not a bad patch job. Now part of my daughters wall and bathroom wall has to be replaced. Something that my home warranty AND homeowners wont cover because it has been leaking so long. Lucky my home warranty is paying for the leak to be fixed since Zeus was incompetent. I hope they are dropped as a contractor for my warranty company. They are a TERRIBLE company that is costing me a lot of money. I have called the office and requested to talk to the owner. I was promised by the receptionist that I would receive a return call from the owner the next day once she informed them of the situation. I never got a call.

I wrote the beginning of this review before I had the repair completely fixed. I also filed a complaint with the BBB and to date they have not responded.
Today the new plumbers came out for fix the leak that Zeus missed when they were out 4 months ago. When they cut the hole in my daughters wall to reach the leak they found black mold. I was told that this was from the leak that was missed and that of course it was not covered under any of my insurances either.

2 entire walls in my daughters room had to be replaced. The wood, drywall and the insulation. All of it was covered in rot and mold. We still have to replace the bathroom wall.

I have waited this long to post the review in hopes that Zeus would at least contact me. I still have heard nothing from them and they still haven't responded to my BBB complaint. I feel as if they are trying to dodge responsibility. The only thing left that I can now to is post the review and contact my home warranty to report them. Even though its was made perfectly clear by our new plumbers that Zeus' mistake is going to cost not only the home warranty company a lot of my but myself as well.
THE WORST, if your home warranty says they will send them out, ask for another company.
It looked like I had a very small leak between floors in the ceiling of my living room, they were not sure where it was coming from, THEY took my toilet apart and reset it, as they figured it was the wax ring. Then the scare tactics...the leak would have caused grey water, toxic, mold etc. BUT they have a company they will call to "help" me out. They even waited around 1.5 hours for this company to show up. The company they call quotes me 1800.00. Thanks I will get a second opinion. I call in a certified company in restoration etc. Everything is tested its NOT grey water, there is nothing toxic. I paid them to test and dry out, it cost me a fraction of what their connection was going to charge me.
Now I think everything is taken care of, all is dry so I thought I go away for a few days come back and my sofa and cushions are ruined by water stains, dripping from the same spot in the ceiling from the toilet above. Good thing I never had that patch in the ceiling repaired yet.
I call Zeus back, he tells me its now coming from the tank, that has nothing to do with them its a new situation they wont cover damages. Hold on they were the last people to touch the toilet and reset it, the toilet is less than 2 years old. He then proceeded to lie to me and pull the wool over my eyes, all he saw were dollar signs, His arrogance was uncalled for and I kicked him out of the house.
New plumbing company comes in sets it properly and TIGHTENS bolts to tank, no more leak! I have them check out if they believe previous problem was wax ring, no not at all as it would have shown damage associated with that. When you reset a toilet the most basic is to check and tighten the tank!
I have emailed Zeus twice and left a message no response!.
I was sent to this company through the homeowners association also. I live in Corpus Christi, so also pretty far away from where these guys are located. I don't really understand why they choose to use a company so far from the homes, but also one with such AWFUL customer service! They were two hours late, but I only found out when they'd be there after repeated calls. When the guy finally shows he tells me he's outside my building and can't find me. So I go outside and no one is there. He starts arguing to me that he is at the address listed and tells me to I need to start walking around the condos and find him.... Ooookay... So I finally find him and lead him back. I tell him my upstairs shower won't get any hot water, but everything else does. He spends about 5 minutes in there and goes to leave. I had to race after him to ask what was going on. He said he was getting tools and he had to call the association to tell then what he found. So I asked what he found. And he says in a dead pan voice, "it doesn't get hot water." And then walks out the door. Well no DUH. After about 20 minutes he comes back and tells me well it's not covered so you can either pay me or get different coverage. I said let me call my landlord and when they didn't answer he told me "well since they didn't answer I'm done here." And again walks out.
Seriously?! I waited all day long on him to spend only 25 minutes here? After, the landlord tried several times to contact the company to find out the cost and the problem and they refuse to answer any calls or return messages. This is the WORST company I've ever dealt with!
Seeing as I can't give this company zero stars, I will have to give it one!
I have waited almost a week, hoping that a situation would resolve it self. It has not, so I feel that I should share my experience with my friends and family so that no one else has to go thru when we are going thru here!
We had a plumbing issue, so I called our home warranty company. They sent Zeus Plumbing to our house. This is where our problem begins. Anthony the plumber who was sent to our house called VERY upset because his GPS wouldn't get him to our house, I calmly got him to our house. He started to work on the problem, kept walking outside so I looked to see what he was doing, I informed him that the water he was turning off was not ours, please don't turn off our neighbors water. He didn't like that I was telling him how to do his job. He was inside, outside, kitchen, both bathrooms, laundry room, etc. He said he can't fix the problem, and left. About two hours later, I discovered that my wedding ring was not where I ALWAYS keep it when I am not wearing it. In 20 years, I have NEVER misplaced my wedding ring, we have cleaned, looked, and looked again. We filed a police report with the sheriff dept. I just want to have my wedding ring back! I would love to find it on my front porch.
If you ever have Zeus plumbing from San Antonio come to your house, I would follow the plumber every step!
Can I put ZERO stars? Worse customer service ever! When I questioned the guy they sent over I he was licensed he suddenly left! DO NOT USE.
AHS sent Zeus Plumbing from San Antonio after Sears said there was nothing wrong with my dishwasher but I still had water showing up on my floor after running dishwasher. So decided since a plumber was coming out to add fixing a wobbly toilet to the order. That could have turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. Zeus plumber said the toilet flange had been pulled up and it was my fault because I tightened the bolts too much and AHS wouldn't pay and so I asked how much and I would pay it myself. Plumber said his supervisor would not quote a price because they would have to jack hammer through my foundation and it would be time and materials but he would estimate a minimum of $1 Thousand Dollars. Told him I was going to get another opinion and he left and left his wet/dry vac behind which he never called or came back for. As for the water on the floor he was very adamant (close to hollering at me) that nothing was wrong with the dishwasher and said it must be the a/c drain line running under the sink. AHS sent an a/c company who blew out the lines and said that would solve the problem. The leak became worse.
At my own expense I had a local plumber out today and they fixed the toilet for $185.00 and showed me where the dishwasher pump is leaking. I now am waiting for AHS to send out the dishwasher repair people to verify same and decide whether it is fixable, replaceable or whether they want to offer me a buy-out. So this turns out to be a combined story of Zeus Plumbing and the repair people that AHS is contracting with.
Brad B.Like Aaron, I was given the opportunity to use Zeus Plumbing through my AHS home warranty. Unlike Aaron, my experience was not 5 star worthy.
After discovering that my water heater had a leak, I contacted AHS to schedule a repair. They dispatched Zeus plumbing. My house is in Kerrville, TX but I suppose Zeus is the closest plumber for AHS to dispatch.
They came out quick enough and John the plumber explained that I needed a new water heater. Fine, I thought, AHS covers that. Of course it wouldn't be that easy. John upsold me on getting a "flood stopper", that after parts and labor would be an extra $450. Okay, I thought. I did some quick research and it didn't seem like a bad deal, since those things are pretty pricey to start with. Let's schedule and install.
One week later, Zeus was scheduled to come and replace the water heater. 2 hours after they were supposed to be there, I get a call from the plumber. "I'm on my way to you, but I'm leaving from Canyon Lake (over an hour away from Kerrville). Okay, that's fine. Two hours later, I had to call Zeus dispatch to ask where this guy was. "His van seems to have problems. We actually tried to call you" Hmmm, that's weird, since my phone never rang. After waiting another 30 minutes, I call back to be told that the van is broken and we need to reschedule.
One week later....
Big day. New water heater! But where is Zeus? Another 2 hour wait past the time they are supposed to arrive and I place a call. "We seem to have problems with the water heater and it hasn't come in yet" This is strange since they seemed to have it the week before when the van broke down. Another reschedule.
3 weeks later... Another 2 hours past when they are supposed to arrive I again place a call, since I'm curious as to when these people are going to show up. "Our plumber's van is having problems and we are sending the owner out to help him" Sigh, I guess that Zeus only has one van, and it's a real piece of crap apparently.
ANOTHER reschedule...
One week later. Plumber is actually on time! Water heater gets installed! But.... wait for it.... There's a leak on this magical "flood stopper". I manage to catch the plumber fast enough to get him to come back and tighten it up, but as soon as he leaves it starts to leak again. I wasn't quick enough to catch him the second time, and after 6, yes SIX calls to Zeus dispatch, I still haven't heard back from them. I ended up fixing the leak myself. A little too much teflon tape on the joints seemed to be causing the leak. Needless to say, I will NEVER use this company again, and I will absolutely tell anyone who asks to not use them either.
If there was an option to give zero stars I would.
Worst plumber experience ever! Referred by Old Republic Home Warranty to replace a failed water heater in my home. I have rental properties as well as a home and I use plumbers quite a bit but these guys are the worst. After waiting all day, they entirely missed the appointed day but assured me I would first thing in the morning. It is now 1:35pm and I am still waiting I have talked to the office 3 times so far today and was told he is "on the way". He must be coming from Dallas. Don't use these people!!
