My hot water heater went bad. Your Helpful Plumber and Terry came to my rescue again. Showed up on time, charged the price they quoted me over the phone, and were able to replace the hot water heater with no issues.

I've now used Your Helpful Plumber twice for work at a condo I own in Chicago. The first time, about 6 months ago, they resolved an emergency gas leak situation resulting from the incompetence of another plumber who attempted to install a new water heater (I shut of the gas to the water heater, of course). Terry was able to send someone out within an hour late in the evening, who fixed the gas leak, and resolved an issue with the electronic ignitor on the water heater. Next, just this weekend, I could not restart the pilot on the same water heater (after my wife had turned off the gas valve for about two weeks for some unknown reason). Terry talked me through the starting procedure over the phone to try to save me a trip. When that did not work, he had someone out within two hours (Saturday afternoon). After it only took them a few minutes to light the pilot, they rodded my slow-draining bathtubs at no extra cost.

I'm not sure Your Helpful Plumber is the cheapest option available (although admittedly I'm not a frequent user of plumbing services), but I believe they will save me money in the long run. I appreciate the service I've received from Terry and his guys, and I hope to never have to search for another plumber again. Thank you, Terry!

My buildings are old and I have a need of repairs all the time, my plumbers were out of town and my friend had used your helpful plumber and told me to give them a try she was very happy with all they had done for her over thw years, so I called and talked to Terry the owner he truly was helpfull Tim and his son came out right a way to fix leaks under kitchen sink.. Very prompt and efficient. pricing was great for late in evening. They even made a trip out to get parts and we're back in no time to finish up the work. Everything runs smooth and dry. I called Your Helpful Plumber at about 8 PM on a weeknight. My daughter had a kitten that had climbed under and behind the dishwasher and he was trapped. We needed to get the dishwasher out to get to him. Terry was unbelievably kind, concerned, and helpful! He had someone available to go rescue the kitten within 10 minutes. I can't thank him enough for being SO responsive and sympathetic. The kitten made it and I will keep this number in my phone contacts for any future plumbing issues... hopefully not including live animals!

Terry and his partner responded right away to our inquiry regarding a clogged shower drain and gave us a quote. He was at my apartment within the hour and quickly resolved the issue for the quoted price and didn't leave a mess in the bathroom. Great prompt service. I would def use them again.

I called 4 plumbing companys in the last 2 days your helpful plumber exceeded my expectations the other companys didnt want to do my work and had made me miss two days of work the plumber was extremely helpful and gave me advice to keep my drains clear also they were really above and beyond pricing wasnt bad considering 1 company came out and did nothing and charged me im really greatful for this co.pany and they were really helpful to coincidence i think not

Terry and his team were extremely helpful when our sewer backed up. They were able to come the same day to evaluate the problem, and unfortunately, the main pipe was broken. Even thought the problem was bigger than anticipated Terry and his team were very informative, professional and competitively priced. They completed the job and worked with our home owner's insurance to ensure it was covered. We would definitely use them again!

Terry quoted me a price of $125 to unclog a drain in my rental property. Then he charged my tenants $200. When I complained, he said he'd send me a check for the $75 overcharge. Followed up several times over multiple weeks, still no check.

Great service for a backed up pipe we had in our 3rd floor that was leaking down into our 2nd floor. Came at 11:30pm & didn't charge an extra fee for coming so late. Came back at 8am with the tool to fix the pipe.
