Shirley W.DO NOT USE THEM! THEY ARE FRAUDULENT!!! I would not give any stars if i could. Crappy customer service and filing claims when they have not even physically come to assess the situation.
I was waiting for 7 days since the service request was created on 9/2/2021. They did not call me to give a date as to when they will dispatch someone to come over to my place to assess the issue. If I did not call them on 9/8/21 to find out the status, they were not planning to call me and left me hanging.
How can someone say they came to my home to assess the issue when they have not. Then they put in a claim that nothing is wrong to the home warranty company?!?!?! That forced me to call to let AHS (home warranty firm) that no one came and yet I got charged for no service!?!?!?!
The manager (Mark) CLAIMS someone came to my home because they have my pictures. Young customer service (Maria) called me to ask me to send them pictures of my water heater via text so they have a clearer understanding of the water heater. How does someone assess the issue when they have not physically come to my home! That equates to fraudulent.
Now i have to go through AHS and the hassle of going through the contractor relations to confirm my issue. While this is happening, my water heater problem still has not been resolved.
Mike G.""Bad"" is an understatement.
This past week my hot water heater in my recently purchased home, finally went after 25yrs. When I purchased the home the sellers agreed to a home warranty under the company Choice Home Warranty. CHW covered the Water Heater and one man's labor for the job.
CHW recruited Youngs Water and Sewer to do the job. I was contacted by Kim Spinelli-Young the owner of the company who at first seem helpful and trustworthy, boy was I wrong. I asked Kim to try her hardest to get me a Bradford White water heater which she did, or should I say CHW did, but only through constant back and forth phone calls with the two companies.
During the time between when the water broke to when they arrived to fix it, I was constantly on the phone with CHW and youngs to figure out what brand of water heater I was getting. Kim only answered the phone to get my money and her reps two young girls would say they would ask Kim my concerns and just hang up the phone and never return my calls.
When the two techs arrived thats only when I found out that I was getting a Bradford White. Meanwhile, I was charged and extra $735 for an expansion tank, 4in vent and main valve fix. Now the Main Valve fix was one valve that was secondary to the main and about a foot of copper pipe that took ten minutes to do. Kim charged me $395 for that, so tack that on and my bill for installation is at $1300 including the initial holds.
Oh and she also tried to charge my card the $735 without asking me, the only reason I found out was because my card kept declining it. The proposal clearly stated that the job would be paid in full after completion. Furthermore once the tank was installed I noticed it was dented and scratched. Her techs tried to get me to sign a hand written uncertified document stating that I accept the damages. I didn't sign it.
After such a headache I can say that Youngs Water and Sewer has been the worst experience I've had with a utility company since I moved into my home. Kim is a money hungry Leech who makes her own prices on the spot and acts like she's there for your interest. Youngs does not respond or answer any questions no matter how many times you call and their reps are just as unprofessional.
Stay clear of CHW and definitely stay clear of Youngs Water and Sewer they will try to rob you blind.
I hope Kim Spinelli-Young reads this and realizes what an unprofessional business she runs.
Leroy E.Do not use this company absolutely the worst customer service from the owner all the way down to the workers.... Do not do quality work this company is a rip off ...The owner Kim is very rude.....!!! 0 star!!!
0 Stars! Warning! Stay away from this plumber!! AHS sent them to our house in Barnegat NJ and the repair was not covered. Besides the AHS fee of $125 we were charged $295 to replace a 6 foot length of 4"" PVC using only 2 clamps. Hope that repair holds up as it is the main drain from the upstairs bathroom. Materials were $40 so $255 (plus $125) for work that took a little over 30 minutes? Really? Called manager who was yelling and obnoxious saying they usually charge $495 for that job. Filed a complaint with AHS. Will NEVER have this plumber assigned to do work at our home!
Extremely dissatisfied with the service and demeanor of this company and advised my home warranty company that I would not allow Young's Water and Sewer back in my house. Young's did not fix the garbage disposal issue I had. They actually made it worse and created a leak which caused water damage. When I contacted Youngs, they advised me that my leak was probably a preexisting issue which couldn't be farther from the truth. I highly recommend against using this company.
Run for the hills. This is an unscrupulous company!! They charged my credit card over $20,400 for work that was not done and no materials were ordered. They claimed they had permits when in fact the Township of Holmdel had not received anything nor did I. Holmdel will not issue any permits for Young's Water and Sewer. They sent me an invoice for a pump that was not ordered where I only received a quote. After giving me a proposal saying the pump was $9,800. After continuously pressing them for the details and manufacturer then gave me a copy of the quote and low and behold the item only cost $5,830!! When I called the Distributor of this pump he confirmed that this item was NEVER ordered. I told him I don't want this ordered and I don't want anything to do with this company. I told Rude Young not to order anything and I do not want to have any work done by this company, cancelling this proposal. I called and wrote Kim ""Rude"" as many others in these reviews have nick named her that she had not provided me a purchase order. She then sent me an invoice for WHAT!! NOTHING!!! No purchase order so an invoice? And 25% restocking fee for an item that was never ordered! There are 10 outstanding complaints against this company already at the BBB and now NJ Consumer Affairs is reviewing them. They refuse to give me my money back - $20,400! The NJ Consumer Affairs has complaints against them for multiple violations of law, no Liability Insurance copy provided to consumers as per law since 2005 on any Home Improvements, and others. Read BBB to learn more and read all about it. Stay far away from ""Rude"" Young and this company!! The reviews that are 3 or more stars are not consistent with all the BBB complaints and 10 is quite significant. The take advantage consumers including the elderly.
Ray R.Do not use this company ! They came and fixed a gas leak. After they fixed the leak and lit the boiler they said flames were shooting out and I needed a new boiler. After paying them 10k to fix a gas leak and replace the boiler my upstairs heat doesn't work. After 7 months of calling they finally came back to fix the heat and they said there are no pipes for my upstairs heat. Ms. Rude Kim said a master plumber was there and confirmed the pipes are not there. Who in their right mind would remove the pipes for their upstairs heat in a 600k condo??? This is the worst company I ever dealt with in my 47 years of life. Btw, I had to choose at least one star. I would have chosen -5 stars if it was available.
Update. I worked with Ms. Rude Kim and tried to rectify the issue for a year with her and she sent some people to see what the problem was. The insisted pipes were missing.
I brought in Pruzansky plumbing which did previous work on my system and they quickly identified the issue. There was a missing zone valve and bleeder. The way the system was installed left no way to bleed the upstairs system.
I paid Pruzansky to fix the issue and then requested reimbursement for the repair from Ms. Rude. She said she would call Pruzansky and never did. She then refused to reimburse me and threatened to bill me for the visits to rectify the issue.
Again, run as fast as you can if your home warranty or anyone recommends this company.
Awesome. Yay! I've had 5 different plumbing companies come to my house in the past six months to fix a hot water heater issue. This is the only company to honor their appointments. But instead of bending over and showing me butt crack and asking fo a ton a money to fix something different, the Young;s technician actualy took his time to figure out the problem. Not rush, no the other guy broke it. Just took his time, looked everything over, professionally explained to me what the issue is. No problems for two weeks and I'm sure no problem ever again. That is a buisness card that is going to be plasterd to my wall in case I ever need a plumber again!
We needed an emergency plumber right before Memorial Day weekend, and Michael came out promptly and resolved the issue. He was courteous, professional and helped us despite our warranty services giving us lots of trouble.
Horrible experience with Young's Water&Sewer Inc. for a recent install of a water heater. They installed the wrong water heater! - A natural gas water heater when the fuel power was propane. The old water heater still had the LP sticker (indicative that it was liquified propane and not natural gas). They missed that!. When turning off the gas and removing the gas inlet, they again missed the distinct smell propane has from natural gas. Thirdly, they never asked the homeowner. Fourthly, they never pulled the permits from the old tank.
This was just the start of their ineptitude and the worse was till to come. Weeks later, I noticed some 'fuel burning' smelling from the basement and on inspecting the brand new AO smith tank, noticed black soot at and around the burning assembly. Also, checked the CO level and to my horror, the meter read as high as 82. Despite the dire situation, it was a few days before Youngs had a technician come over. Still oblivious to the real issue (that they had installed a natural gas tank with propane fuel which leads to incomplete combustion and nasty stuff like CO and cresote), the technician first suggested that the pitch of the gas water vent pipe was wrong and then that the burning assembly needed to be replaced. It was only when I reached out to the manufacturer - AO Smith, that it became clear what the real issue was: WRONG tank.
I was assured by the technician that Youngs would fix and rectify the issue but after few days (the water heater had been turned off), Youngs wanted me to chip in with half of the cost of the new install. I had paid $1635 out of pocket plus my insurance paid them $410. Despite them having made this egregious mistake. Despite them having put our lives in danger. One would expect that the plumbing agency's business insurance would help them cover this mistake and yet they wanted me to pay half of the cost of a new install/replacement.
I would be remiss not to mention the co-owner of the plumbing agency - Ms. Kimberly Young. I had a number of calls with her to explain how they ought to do the right thing. Every call left one with a bad taste in the mouth. Not only was she highly discourteous (hanging up on the calls) but flat out fibbed on many points (e.g. that my insurance had bought the new tank which I confirmed with the insurance agency (ChoiceCare Warranty) wasnt the case.
I ended up engaging a different plumbing agency and paid another $2200 to do so as we had lost any confidence in Youngs Water&Sewer Inc not messing up the install again.
