I called several local (Michigan City) plumbers for two days in a row and got no call back. Young Plumbing answered first call without me having to leave a message. They came early the next day and quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and left me with a ""good as new"" toilet with NO leaks. Tony is a genius. If you call Young Plumbing - ask for Tony. You won't be disappointed.

I needed an emergency plumber for a water leak. They came out when requested, gave me a quote and fixed it all within 2 hours. The price was reasonable and the work was perfect. I will always use this company. The reviews that state the company is pricey obviously do not know what licensed plumbers charge.

I just recently used Young Plumbing to unclog a floor drain in my laundry room. The plumber unclogged the drain and I was told the drain was clogged due to excess lint from the washer. To my dismay, the drain was still overflowing somewhat the next day. I have a septic tank system and had an appointment for the tank to be drained the very next day. So, I decided to wait until the septic was drained before calling Young Plumbing back. Meanwhile, my husband was hospitalized and I put the plumbing issue on the back burner. I've been going to the hospital everyday and just didn't wash. But, now I need to get caught up on washing. Water is still backing up from the floor drain, so I called Young back for what I thought was a follow up call to the original service. I was told I would be charged for the call and that lint was considered a foreign object and therefore the service was not warranted. I've used Young many times in the past and unblocking the floor drain in my laundry room was always covered under warranty. This time I was informed that the plumber wrote ""no warranty"" on my ticket which was a surprise to me. At no time did Young disclose that the service would not be covered under their warranty, which in the past this type of service was always covered. I paid over $200.00 to get a floor drain unclogged and to get them to come back out, I would have to pay an additional fee. When trying to get an understanding why the service wasn't covered and why lint is considered an uncovered foreign object, I was told ""that's what traps are for"" to prevent lint from clogging your drain. I will not be using Young Plumbing again. I am 73 years old, on a fixed income and don't have money or time to waste. Expensive, but a lesson learned!!

Friendly service, but expensive and not thorough. I had a Tom come out and was very polite and joying. I gave him a list from the NIPSCO technician who had came out to detect where the gas leaks were. Tom read over the list and verbalized that he understood, and quoted me a price of $540 for everything. Tom changed the gas connection behind the stove and a connection leaving the furnace. Time in house, roughly 20 minutes start to finish. Tom left and upon checking what everything looked like, I noticed HALF of the list from the NIPSCO person was not done. I called Young Plumbing, who put me in touch with Tom, and he stated it would be ANOTHER service charge of $40 just to come out, and additional cost for whatever he had to do. Do yourself a favor and shop around.

Ripoff alert! Can't give me a price on the phone but replacing a garbage disposal is a set price of $405? fastest 'I'll just pay your $40 service call and you get the F out' money I've ever spent.
I will never call this place again.

Showed up on time. Worked service call fee into repairs despite having to come back due to unexpected power outage in area.

Mike and partner did great job, on time, and walked and talked me through all the work done.

Will be calling them in future with plumbing needs.

Just got my new water heater. Very happy with the service. I upgraded to a 50 instead of 40. Waiting now for my hot water. They took the old out (which was pretty beat up and leaking) did not get any water on floor. I would call them again. 4 stars only because of the price but they did try where they could to save me money. I would call them again for service.

They responded promptly (even though not an emergency). The plumber and his apprentice were very courteous, clean, and professional. And ridiculously expensive. $470 for less than 2 hours work, including going for the part. But, that is what they told me it would cost, hence the 3 stars. It would be 5 stars if not for the price.

They came to replace a broken valve to my dryer. Instead of replacing the broken valve, they added another valve to it. Charged us $225.00 for a $10 valve. Don't ever call this company for anything but being ripped off.

Eric from Youngs Plumbing came out to fix our water spigot on the outside of our house and did an excellent job! We will ask for him again when we have problems with our homes plumbing. Young's Plumbing fixes it right the first time! They are reliable and reputable.
