Young Plumbing came out to quote a dishwasher installation. They quoted $600 for an installation. This was just for the installation! No materials were needed. Then, when I refused the stupid price, they charged $85.00 for the visit/quote.
I called another plumbing company, and they installed it for $250.00 with no quote fee. The job took 25 minutes in total.
Melissa C.Young's performed all the services we requested. Installed an ejector pump, back up sump pump and drain pipe in basement bathroom. They were kind and courteous and showed me everything when they were done. We think it was very good value for the services performed and that it was done right!
They claim to work on mobile homes but do so very reluctantly if that. I called and Tom and Jay came out on 5/22 in the morning, I had a leak that needed repairs on an outside water line. I was quoted $345, and I wanted the water line from the heater to the water source replaced, garden spigot needed a shut off valve and needed to be reinstalled correctly and the tub faucet was worn out and needed to be replaced, I was told $785, which was fine. I have lived in the home for over 8 years and it has been very hard to find someone to work on a mobile home and I was excited to have someone willing to do the work.
The faucet was supposedly a special order, even though it retails for $30 on Amazon and is plastic and there is not much special about it, but the workers returned on 5/25 installed the faucet in about 30 min, propped up the garden spigot line with a piece of my scrap 2X4 and added a board to secure the spigot in place and called it a day. When I asked if they will be replacing the water line, I was told that they inspected it and it was fine the way it is. The pipe is wrapped in insulation and no one bothered to go underneath the mobile home so I'm not sure what kind of inspection that was.
Tom mentioned several times how greedy his boss is and that he doesn't say no to any work, but $1130 for crimping one pipe, $30 plastic faucet, one shut off valve valued at $5 max, and 5 inches of scrap wood used to secure the spigot. Just do like everyone else and say you don't work on mobile homes. Hope all of your trucks catch every red light.
AND while installing the shut off valve on the garden spigot they removed the heat tape thermometer off the pipe rendering it useless... and all of their invoices state that the work is guaranteed unless the pipes freeze. Tony and Mike fixed our outside shower after pipes burst in 4 different places in a hard to reach area in the garage.
In honor of Tina Turner they were "" Simply the Best!"" Great job by the Young Plumbing team.

Price was in line with work completed.
I have a new hot water heater. Before they suggested one, they troubleshot the power supply to find a tripped circuit breaker and suggested I find an electrician first if it tripped again. It did and the electricians found an exposed wire just inside the wall that was shorting out. Since Young gave me the first visit off the price of a new unit and held the unit's price against inflation for awhile, I bought from Young. I also liked that they cleaned the dust behind the old unit for me since I was recovering from a broken arm and had just gotten over COVID.
Water heater starts throwing a code and there is NO hot water. Call around and Young Plumbing comes out. We are told before they get here that it is $85 for them to diagnose it. They walk in, look at the water heater and say it is $285 an hour to diagnose it + labor and parts. We tell them we were told $85 and that will be waived if we have them fix it. They tell us you already know what the code is. To find out how to fix it is $285 an hour. Then they were waiting for us to pay $85 when they have done NOTHING. When I asked if they are giving us a bill they said no you pay me.
Matt B.Had them come out for a toilet and sink replacement. No materials needed. 855$ quote for 2.5 hrs of work. That's insane. I asked to speak to upper management or John the owner but no response so decided to leave a review. I guess it's hard to call a customer back and justify 425$ an hr for labor.
Called pierce plumbing and was given a quote for $460 for the whole job.
Young used to be a honest company but seems they are in the highway robbery game now.
Please price shop around before using young.
Response to owner : I called to get an explanation and breakdown of pricing. Still no explanation of how you get to that price. The review was posted before the phone call from the lady asking if we would still like the job completed. Check time stamp. AS for the family reference all I stated was that we have used your company many times with a reasonable pricing. Pierce was only 2.5 hours for the job. I was just a phone call away and still am . Amazing this is how the owner would rather handle it. CLASS ACT !!
Highly recommend Young Plumbing, who I called in an emergency situation as our ejector pump suddenly stopped working. Justin and Kyle came out the same day, assessed the situation and gave us a reasonable price for a new ejector pump. Justin and Kyle were both professional, courteous, and installation and clean up was quick. I will be using Young Plumbing again in the near future as I will soon be in need of a hot water heater and will be asking for Justin and Kyle. I gave Young Plumbing, Justin and Kyle five stars for very excellent service.
Had an appointment set up since last week to do warranty repairs on a hot water heater at my parents home. They did not have hot water for almost a week, and was waiting for parts coming in from the manufacture. The appointment was for today between 11 AM and 1 PM. They called my number numerous times to verify for today's appointment, I found this ad due to the fact that all this was already scheduled since last week. They called my phone six times, and I did not answer because I was working midnights and I was sleeping. Woke up called and they gave the slot away to another customer, I was very upset and very irate at this because I consider this being unprofessional if a client is set up for an appointment that company should honor their clients appointment time and date. This person went on and on saying that I didn't answer my phone I didn't answer my phone, but I told her that I worked midnights, and I was sleeping three times and yet she ignored it, so this is why I'm writing this negative review on Young plumbing. If this is how they conduct business with me, I can just imagine how they deal with other customers.
Just needed them to come out and change bolts in tank that were leaking. They told me that it wasn't leaking and I must have tightened it up when I was messing with it. Then quoted me $380 for a tank rebuild. Ok wait a minute , you try to oversell me after you said there is no leak?! I knew there was a leak he did too ! He was rubbing the moisture off his figures when he felt the tank as he flushed it! What are they playing at? Wouldn't trust them ever!
