Yorkville Plumbing and Heating
Company Overview
Our company focuses on establishing and upkeeping systems for liquid, sewage, and effluent in pipework. In addition to plumbing, we also specialize in heating systems and cooling units.
Yorkville Plumbing and Heating has been a family-run since the late 1950s. For over three decades, we have catered to the New York City, Bronx, Queens community, and Brooklyn regions. The originator of our company, Jefferey Goodmen Senor, started this enterprise from the workshop of his childhood home, transferring it to his descendant and now heir. They relocated to their current location in the heart of New York City.
Currently, under the guidance Jefferey the second and his child Jeffrey, Yorkville Plumbing and Heating continues to provide the top-notch service they provided back in the year 1958.
Jeffrey is a third-gen plumber. Growing up in the field has given him knowledge that can only be gained through direct work with his parent and grandfather since the early age of ten! He now operates the business with his parent and their two contracted workers. They are continually ready to support those in their communities.

very unprofessional and dishonest. they came to unclog a toilet. they left in 10 mins and the job was incomplete. i did not inspectas i am handicapped. went to try the toilet 2- hours later to find it still did not flush. when i called in to request them to complete the task their response was their work is not warranted and they have to open a new job if i wanted them to look at it.
bad news. stay away from them.
a bunch of cheats
Robert N.Plumber was ok, friendly and completed job along with an extra little problem I was having. This is a referral service though, when I thought I was getting a local plumber on the upper east side, instead you will not know what company shows up. Still job gets done, but price at $300 seemed high to hook up a gas stove with 2 connections when I was quoted around $100 over the phone. It is NYC but by the time referral service, plumbers boss and company and the worker who comes out all get their share from service calls I guess it all adds up. I will learn to put a bit of sealant on threads, tighten up a nut and check for leaks with soapy water if I need work like this done in the future considering this nutty cost for this work. Cost will be the price of a 1/2 inch wrench and some pipe dope sealant. I just wish that you could call a number directly to a trusted neighborhood plumber, they could efficiently come over and if the job takes less then a 1/2 hour to complete why can't there be a normal hourly rate from $40-$80 for such a job, not the hourly rate of a highly trained lawyer, Doctor or the most expensive therapist you can possibly find in Manhattan but for a plumber hooking up a stove? Seriously...and then you call me for a review? Well here's the review, hope you like me accurately reflecting and reviewing your services.
Hilary B.Finally there is a business so bad that I have to Yelp about it. This place farms out calls to random plumbers that all have family emergencies and can't make the scheduled call. For example, my first and only appt was scheduled at 8:30 AM and only when I called at 9:45 am was I told a family emergency moved it to 6 PM tonight. My 6 PM plumber appt was then moved to 7:15 PM for another family emergency but when I asked the worker about it he had no idea. He showed up with no tools and left for over an hour to go get them before charging me $480 for 20 minutes of work.
I'd rather take a course at APEX tech than employ these Kardashians again
I would give 0 stars if I could.
I called Yorkville re: broken heating unit on the morning of 1/27/14 in the middle of a very cold streak in NYC. I was promised (at 9.45 am) that a repair person would come between 12-1 pm.
At 2 pm, I called to follow up, and was informed that there was an error in the system and that a repair person would be at my apartment within the hour. Frustrating, but still ok.
At 3.45, I called again and was told that the repair person was on his last call for the day and would not be able to come that day, or the next day. There was a complete lack of understanding or urgency given the cold, and a very empty ""sorry"" when I was told that my heater would not be getting fixed any time soon. Meanwhile, I was sitting home waiting for them the entire day, and did not call another vendor as I was being strung along all day by this one.
I am disappointed that they never called to update me that the repair person would not be coming, and at the very poor customer service in general. I would appreciate it if Yorkville would be made aware that their actions resulted in someone having to deal with no heat for a longer period of time than if they were just honest and told me to call another vendor. I will never use this company and will actively discourage my fellow homeowners from doing the same.
