Pipe burst on Saturday. Most plumbers who advertise service never call back. David York was completely different. Called back within 15 minutes. I described the problem and he listened. Very friendly and a professional.

I thought he might have served in the Marines or Army. He said he had one other job at 11 a.m., but would be at our house between 12:30 and 1.

True to his word, he came on time, fixed the burst pipe. Charges were reasonable, but I was so thankful he came on a Saturday (when the others disappear), I gave him extra although he stated it wasn't necessary.

All in all, a pleasure to do business with. They don't make many like him any more! We are in Blowing Rock, and although he is not located here, he lives not too far away.

We can't recommend this company highly enough. We recently bought a house in western NC. My husband contacted Dave to snake an underground gutter pipe that had gotten clogged as well as a few other jobs -- rebuilding faucets, replacing a toilet valve, etc. He responded promptly, quickly sent us a very reasonable estimate, got the job done the same day we approved the estimate, and even identified a couple problems we didn't know we had and took care of them without upcharging us! He provided us with thorough notes on everything he did. What a relief to find a plumber we know we can trust.

This company is fantastic. After being left high and dry by another drain cleaning company, we reached out to York Sewer and Drain. It was after hours and last minute but Mike didn't hesitate to agree to come out. It is was an hour ride for him at 6pm so it was much appreciated. When he arrived he brought his equipment in and was able to get his machine down into our crawl space. The company that left us hanging claimed they couldn't and had us remove our toilet. Mike cleaned out over sixty feet of our drain and when he finished he wasn't fully satisfied so he decided to do it a second time to make sure. Just the fact that he was that thorough was impressive. Many other companies would have just packed up and left. So after a couple hours Mike finished up and successfully cleared our drain. He also gave us some great feedback and some preventive maintenance tips. The price for the cleaning was Half of the price of the other company. It's rare to find professionalism like Mike has and I would recommend him to anyone.
