Damaging property and then not apologizing is a poor way to do business. The fact that they damaged multiple items and were ""ok"" with it by stating that it was no big deal shows the kind of work they are willing to do. Price was agreed upon and when the owner of the company was at the house, he stated ""She can just pay full price."" When I was upset about the damage. I am all for supporting the smaller business but not this company.

It's also nice to know that Raleigh Fire came to the house while work was being conducted and paid for just to entertain Mr. Holloman, as it was stated they were ""friends"". Your friend time is not time I'm paying for. Also, inviting said firefighters into my garage without my permission constitutes trespassing. There was no call made to emergency services and they were not warranted onto my property.

So the lady is out of town and I'm staying at the house with Fenway...

The water heater went out...sucks, right?

Welllllll, hold on to your seat because I can get a little ""wordy""...

So first of all, I had to call them this morning to confirm they were even coming by today because we were told we would be notified...

I told them that I had some errands to run and needed them to call me about 30 minutes before they showed up...

Luckily, I was home with Fenway when they showed up with no call. The guy seemed rather rushed so I rushed to get Fenway in his crate and rushed to get the Jeep out of the garage (location of water heater)...

I start walking back up to the garage and they're already ripping things out of the way. As I'm walking up, I see the saw was placed on something unbalanced and face plants into the concrete...

Mind you, it's a $300 table saw that is practically brand new. Boom! Face plant on concrete. No apology or sense of concern at all with more of a ""oh well"" type of reaction...

I take a couple steps off to the side, kind of shocked due to the lack of carelessness...but then...I hear glass shatter...

One of the ladies frames hit the floor and breaks. Glass. Is. Everywhere. The guy picks up a dustpan and broom to sweep it up. Awesome, right? Well, then he starts walking towards the end of the garage and looks outside with what was perceived as a location to throw broken glass on the grass.

Mind you, there's beautiful, little Bear and the 4-legged stud, Fenway, who frequent outside and play. Let's also remember, grass grows and needs to be cut. Final Fantasy, anyone? Bueller? Yeaaahhhh...no thanks!

So by that time, I have some calls and things to do. My lady calls me and we get to talking...

She brings up some valid points, per usual, all related to the info . She also talks to the ""boss man"" and shares her concerns. So I start watching these guys work to ensure nothing more is broken, taken, or will cause an issue...

Then out of nowhere, it was shared where the guys were working at...so a fire truck pulls up to the house and 4 guys hop out. I figure they were needed for professional reasons. Nope...

Now, let's take into consideration that I have all the love for public safety and represent public safety clients nationally.

However, some folks like to keep things a little more private and don't like numerous people showing up to their house, unless there's a reason. Babe is one of these people...

It's probably not advantageous to assume that a client is going to be okay with excessive people showing up for no reason...

Let's also take into consideration, we were quoted one price yesterday and we were going to get charged another price today. We're all about paying a pro and when asked what the cost is, we figured transparency matters. If we wouldn't have asked, that's on us. We get it...

So after running through price and settling on the broken frame (the saw seems to be great), I pulled ""boss man"" aside to let him know about the interactions and handling of glass, which was going to end up in the front yard, to get a couple responses that got under my skin...

1. Don't undermine my lady when she's right and speak about items that matter to her. Sure fire way to get a crazy look and for my mindset to flip

2. Due to the carelessness and pretentious attitude, she has decided to leave reviews based on experience. Don't snap back and state that the full balance can now be paid or else. I may be wearing a Bob Marley shirt with camo shorts but I'm not your average Bear and I used to study laws for fun

3. Don't assume that I don't live here and make a statement that says, ""She should have been here, if she had a problem or wanted to know something"". Duh, why am I here?

4. Don't assume that I'm a bum because I can work from home and have freedom to do so while still helping clients to get AMAZING results

5. Don't assume that we don't talk throughout the day because we'll be there for one another in 5 seconds

6. Don't make miscellaneous threats or act with ego with a ""take it or leave it"" attitude

7. Don't argue with someone on a warranty, when we've done our research and know where to find facts

This company doesn't care about relationships. They care about grab and go. Money and run...

As a business owner myself, I would never condone this kind of behavior and would never treat clients this way.

Xtreme Plumbing Co. - $100 dollars per hour Labor!
The guy came out to Replace 3 Faucets and Work on our Shower in the Kids bathroom to convert the Faucets to a single handle, replace the shower head and replace a toilet. He was going out of town for the weekend and thought he would be done by Noon. All Parts were provided. When the plumber saw that we would need additional parts, he said that he would make a trip to lowes. (I would have gladly gone to pick up the parts)
I mistakenly did not get an estimate for the work to be done.
After I had left, the plumber had his father come out to join on the Job. We were never informed that he would also require $100 an hour too.
He was found sitting on our front porch smoking his cigar looking at his phone. (Taking a break I guess at $100 per a hour).
We were charged 15 Hours of Labor, $1500, $140 for a stainless steel plate and two Plastic towers for toilet repair and a $50 service charge!
My wife reluctantly paid him $1690 for a days work, and when I got home, I couldn't believe how much the bill was.
Never let a person start work without an estimate! Or you too could get fleeced like my family did.
When I contacted this Plumber to discuss the bill, he simply said that he was sorry I felt surprised and disappointed..
This company failed to disclose anything about the added Labor and I would not recommend them or ever let these people work for us again.
I am in the process of reporting them to the better business bureau and he also injected that I was not charged NC Sales tax which would have been even more. I am very dissatisfied with my experience with Xtreme Pluming.
