As a child, shadowing my father, Eddy Oppelt started his path in appliances. After that, he desired to expand his expertise. His focus turned towards heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and cooling systems, which led to the establishment of what is now Xtreme Air Services.

I've had these folks come to my house three times now. The third time, they told me they needed to order and fix a part in my A/C.

This was about 1.5 weeks ago. Since then, I've spent multiple times on hold with them trying to schedule an appointment. At one point, they went ahead and scheduled me without even asking if that day worked. The email said "call to find out time." So I did. They said between 8-10 a.m the following day. I took off from work, stayed home, and at 8:30 they called to let me know the person wouldn't be there till noon. I went back to my office, and called at 12:30 for an update. Tangela, the scheduler, then told me she would call them and see when they're coming. Thirty minutes later - nothing. I called back, and they said Tangela had gone to lunch. How nice that she should get to go to lunch while I am sitting at my desk trying to make up hours for when I'll need to leave.

The dispatch lady told me to "stop getting frustrated at the right person," at which point I told her I'd like to cancel all of my service agreements with them. Let's see if anyone actually calls me back. In the meantime, I'd suggest avoiding this company like the plague. Their installers and workers are amazing and so helpful, but their dispatch and scheduling is an absolute joke. You're better off going with Willard or AdVent. Both are reliable and actually show up when they said they're going to.

Absolute robbery, paid $40 for them to show up, here for 10 minutes of looking at the problem and quoted $750 for about $30-$40 worth at most of fittings. Couple of elbows, a compression fitting and about 12" of pvc. I had even already dug all the piping up so the hole was ready to replace fittings for a basic leak. Tried to convince me to replace entire pipe all the way to my house from where the leak was actually at, my side of city meter. Absolute scam. Jose was the tech. Call anyone else. Once I find a good plumbing company I will edit or repost for those who happen upon Xtreme Air & plumbing.

It's 38 degrees outside as I write this and its a cozy 68 degrees where I'm sitting due to my new system. It was installed yesterday by the team that anyone would wish for when having someone show up to work at your house. They were on time, polite, professional, and they took the time to answer all my questions and explain everything I needed to know bout the system. Justin and Dakota were the installers and they were meticulous.

Everything was carefully removed, replaced and tested right down the check list to make sure it was done correctly. They went through and made adjustments to the options and settings as per the request of my wife and me, and they even programmed the thermostat to my wife's preferences, and it took them all of about a minute or so to do it. The thermostat was easy to use and intuitive.

It's also worth mentioning...a lot of businesses use the adage "leave it cleaner than you found it" but these guys made it a serious part of their process.They brought in more tarps to protect the floor than Davinci had when he did the Sistine chapel. Every piece of equipment or doorknob or anything else they touched or came near was wiped down or swept clean before they left. There was not a single piece of wire insulation, or a discarded screw, or piece of cardboard or packing foam left anywhere. I mean...these guys are meticulous.

They did a beautiful job and I can tell the difference in how everything runs. It's quiet, it's more efficient and I'm saving about a quarter of the electricity having just upgraded my old system to this two-ton 14 SEER system.

Again, the installers are Justin and Dakota and our sales rep is Chad. It's going to be quite a while before I may ever need another AC system installed, but if I do, I hope they're still around, because I will request them. Awesome install, Xtreme Air Services!

When our air conditioning went out about a month ago, we had nice enough weather that I was able to spend a couple of days to find the best A/C system value. After quotes from several A/C dealers in the area, I found Xtreme Air Services gave me the best overall quote, which was both reasonable and for a unit that was well-sized to my home. Lindel could not have been more friendly and informative during the process, and his team were professional and did a great job on the install! I would recommend Xtreme Air Services again to any of my family and friends.

Update: The safety switch on my A/C was triggered a few days ago because of a clog in our drainage lines (unrelated to the new install). Samuel came out on his lunch break and spent two hours to find the clog and fix the problem. He didn't charge us because of the recent A/C install. This is how you build a long-term customers, and we plan to engage Xtreme Air in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I was out of town when my husband text me disastrous photos of our ceiling on the floor due to a back-up in the AC system in our attic. I was watching a Texas Ranger game and saw a commercial for Xtreme Air. It was about 7:30pm. I called and a real human being answered the phone and there were two technicians at our home in 20 minutes. Chad and Sam were wonderful and made my husband feel at ease during a very upsetting incident. Apparently the last AC people had disconnected the emergency drain. They were there for a couple of hours. They got everything unclogged and running smoothly again and then called DryForce to come out to start the drying a repair process. You would think the charges for coming out after hours would be astronomical. No!!! I was shocked at the low price. We also bought a service contract which gives us 2 free check-ups per year, as well as a plumbing check. I have had Chad and Sam back to check out our dampering system which had also been disconnected. They were so nice and, right away, I saw why my husband was so impressed. They were on time, thorough, and did a great job. We have only been in our home for a year and a half and have had terrible luck, obviously, with AC companies. Now, our worries are over. We have great AC professionals we can trust, as well as plumbers. I've already had Ruben out to check my plumbing. He came out very quickly and was very professional, as well!!! Thank goodness I'm a Ranger fan!!!!

I scheduled service for them to check my AC system. I informed them on the phone that I had a coupon for the tune-up ($49). They were late coming. I understand that every job won't be completed on time, but they didn't call to tell me they were running late until it was 30 minutes from my scheduled appointment time. I had other vendors to meet with and errands to run. They said they would call me when they were leaving Garland which is at least one hour from my home (if you use the toll longer if you don't use the toll).

I had plenty of time to run some errands from the time they called me. They called me, not when they were en-route as they promised, but after they had arrived at my home and didn't get an answer to the doorbell. Fortunately, I was only 10 minutes away. They seemed very knowledgeable (There was 2 of them.). They spent some time in the attic as well as inside my home checking out the thermostat and the filter. They checked the outside unit and different parts and told me that I needed 2 pounds of Freon. I agreed for them to put it in.

After they had finished putting the Freon into the unit, they told me that I actually needed 4 pounds. Instead of spending the $49 that I expected to spend, I ended up spending $180 (They said they wouldn't charge for the maintenance checkup. I hope not after charging me for 2 pounds that I don't even know whether I received the additional 2 pounds or not.). I can understand the possibility of needing 2 pounds, but I don't know or understand how it went from needing 2 pounds to 4 pounds in what is a fairly new unit (The unit is only 5 years old and isn't used very much during the summer.).
