Justin S.Professional and friendly, from the front desk to the plumbers. Prompt and great to work with! Great to have a reliable company available.
Donna E.Zero rating. Do not contact this company. I wanted to have a private conversation with the owner who continued to hang up on me. She threatened to call the police on me for harassment. The last thing that I wanted was to go public with my concerns.
Yesterday, the plumbers at WRF & Son came to my house to replace three hose bibs. They did a nice job at replacing the bibs. However, when they turned the valve back on inside the house, they did not do it slowly. They opened the valve too quickly, and hence, shattered a PCV valve in the basement. I called to let WRF & Son know that in the future, the young plumbers would be wise to take it slow opening up the valve. It caused a big catastrophic problem in my home. Mallick Plumbing came to the rescue this morning and did a super job. It was Mallick Plumbing that informed me that the valve was opened too quickly. Again, I only wished to convey an important message to WRF & Son for future situations w/ other customers, but I say to you, beware, they are not interested in hearing/learning from their mistakes.
We have been a customer of WRF since we moved to Mt Airy nearly 10 years ago. They are true professionals; their response time is always on point and prices are very reasonable. We especially appreciate it when Emory is our plumber. He is no nonsense and gets the job done. Thank you WRF for being so reliable and for having such amazing employees! I'd give you more stars if I could!
We signed a contract with them to provide spot-a-pots and paid in full. The, one business day before the event, they called up and refused to place equipment (including a handicap toilet) where we needed it. Then they cancelled our contract (with little or not time to find a replacement) when we complained. I feel they intentionally tried to torpedo our event. I would avoid them like the PLAGUE. There are much better vendors out there.
I had a very bad experience. The plumber recommended that he pull out the vanity in the master bath in order to flex the hall bath. He preferred this to going through the tile work in the hall bath. He broke the vanity top, then refused to pay for it because it ""could not have been anticipated."" Finally had to hire a handyman to fix his screw up and it cost me another $540.00. His company was not helpful either. They did not know where to find a replacement vanity top. Nightmare.
Melanie K.We had W.R.F. & Son replace our old, leaking well pump. We purchased the new well pump & fittings from The Plumbery in Mt. Airy with the intent to install ourselves (we had already replaced the one that was here when we moved in with a spare the previous owners left, but that one was old & had a small leak). Rather than dedicate a bunch of hours on a Saturday or taking off work (c'mon people!), we decided to let the pros handle this one. Not only were the techs friendly and competent, they arrived right on time and installed the pump in less time than we were initially quoted. The guys took their time with the install, making everything look really clean and neat. Once they were finished, they encouraged me to check everything out and were happy to answer any and all questions I had, including whether there was a guarantee. Short answer: Yes!
Bottom line: I highly recommend these guys! The next time I need a plumber, this is who I'm calling.
Had the same experience with water heater failure however, found it was my water. Company was awesome about it and swapped out no charge on parts. Not the companies fault, acid water of Mt. Airy simply a disaster for water.
Recently had a 3 year old hot water heater break which caused me to wonder about the quality of their products. Company would not acknowledge that the life of this heater was way too short. Warranty services are questionable. If doing business with this plumbing service, make sure you ask specific questions about the product and warranty.
Melissa B.Terrible - non-existent service. Had broken water main-they re-routed plumbing through foundation wall. Has been leaking ever since. They are refusing to repair because its be over a year. This was an ONGOING problem due to their lack of sealing the repair correctly in the first place. They NEVER call you back and never have timely appointments. Basement is wet due to their installation & they're telling me their next available appointment is 3 WEEKS OUT!!???!!
