Fred was referred to me through a friend and he came out first thing in the morning. My washing machine drain was back flowing every time I did a large load of wash! He went up on the hot roof and put a camera down and snaked the drain and was trying to determine what was the problem ! He was so thorough and spent time and then came back the next day to replace the pea trap which solved the problem. He was clean and tidied up and was very fair in his pricing ! Our water heater began leaking, needed to be replaced. I called Fred at Worthy Plumbing, he came out the same day. I wanted a specific water heater he did not have - no problem. I got it from a local store, brought it home and Fred installed it. He was very courteous, showed up on time, and even added a special pipe required by code. His installation is done right. Our house was tented for termite fumigation, so of course, we had to be out for a couple of days. We returned on a Saturday, and called SoCal Gas to get the service back on. The Gas Co technician showed up at about 4:00 PM, but would not turn the service back on, because of an indicated slow leak.

I did a quick web search, and found Worthy Plumbing. They had good reviews, so I gave them a call at about 5 PM Saturday afternoon. To my great surprise, owner Fred answered the phone, and said that he would be out at 8:00 AM on Monday Morning.

True to his word, Fred showed up first thing Monday, and proceeded to confirm that the gas leak was in the line between the meter (near the street) and the house. He did this by shutting the gas valve at the house, and then pressurizing the line at the meter, and monitoring a pressure gauge. Fred measured the line length, and gave me a reasonable bid. He also arranged for a trenching crew to be at our house at 8 AM the next day, and also someone to saw through about 12 ft. of concrete driveway.

The crews were at our house at 8 AM on Tuesday morning, and proceeded to dig the trench and cut an 8 inch path across the driveway. They worked nearly all day, and by mid afternoon the new pipe was installed and connected. The gas company sent out a technician right away, tested the line, and turned the gas back on without hesitation.

The next day Fred's 'concrete guy' repaired the cut in the driveway, and did a very professional job.

Being without natural gas was a big problem for us (no showers, no laundry). Had it been Winter, we also would not have had heat. Worthy Plumbing made the entire problem go away in short order and at a reasonable cost. You can't ask for better service than that!

Had an emergency main sewer line issue during an escrow period. 3 Generations of Worthy's jump on it the next day. They worked quickly and diligently to put a whole new sewer line from house to street. Very responsive, honest, trustworthy and have to love a family business. Highly recommend.

My house was without water when I closed a valve on my supply line (of course it broke in the closed position). I was frantically calling plumbers to find someone to replace the valve ASAP. Fred was the first to pick up and offer timely assistance. He not only quickly replaced the valve, but explained what he was doing along the way. Very pleased with the work and will be utilizing their services again.
