Recommended Customer Reviews
Hired Worldwide to do a complete home remodel. Disappeared for weeks every time they got paid, then would come back to ask for more money. Steve always had an excuse. Every time I went to the house, no one was there working. They were supposed to finish in July 2019, stretched it out until March 2020, and even then, never finished. After final payment, they didn't finish the rest of the job and didn't do a walkthrough. Had to hire other contractors to finish the job, and then, after an inspection report showed most everything they did was faulty, Steve refused to come back and make things right, so I had to hire still more contractors to fix his so-called work. Between hiring contractors to repair his repairs, and interest on a loan that ran almost a year longer than it should have, he cost me about $25,000. Looking at the other reviews, this is obviously his standard operating procedure, so DON'T HIRE HIM!
Just watch this contractor . They owe money to our company still did not pay and we sued them to claim court.
Jim D.I would caution against using this contractor. We hired them for a job starting December 10th and they eventually quit because we demanded a finish date from them and they couldn't agree to that finish date. They quit on March 15th. 3 months and a 2/3 job done. We had a pricing dispute but eventually came to an agreement on it. Steve dragged the work on interminably despite coming to that agreement. Absolutely unacceptable. Steve's work is messy: they never put tarps down when walking through common areas of the house. They never used ventilation to avoid dust escaping to the rest of the house. We had to clean dust and dirt off our entire first floor several times while they were working. When they poured a concrete pad in front of our house, they left excess concrete everywhere outside including on the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street. Steve's project management skills are severely lacking, and nothing is done in the order it's supposed to be done. The work takes too long and is not done right the first time making extra work and time. I've had to pay out the nose to fix his mistakes either by myself or with a new contractor. His only saving grace is that his hired electrician does very good work. Worldwide Contractors has terrible communication: Steve was never on time for any appointments and never answered emails, texts or phone calls until much later. He straight up lied to us about who was going to be working on the house and when on a daily basis. Several days when he said someone would be working on the house, no one showed up. Again, do not use this contractor. Be very wary of positive reviews on any review sites. Some of the reviewers share names of people and companies he associates with at Worldwide. They present a conflict of interest.
Joshua M.90% or what I had them do needed to get replaced immediately (piping, indoor tile) or repaired (roof, joist) because they made it worse. Didn't even take out the trash correctly. STAY AWAY.
Do not even think of dialing this company. Absolutely horrible experience. They contacted me for a job, sent someone else out. When he and his assistant showed up, first thing they did was tell me they had to use the bathrooom and walked through my home in their muddy boots. Then, they put the faucet on backwards, which I noticed right away and had to call them back to fix. Then, they returned again and increased the price for the job. Later that night, we no longer had cold water. Here I am, 4 days later with no response or responsibility from this company or the handyman, and no cold water from the faucet. Trust me, look somewhere else!
If there is a lower rating than 1 star, it would be more appropriate. Hired this crew to re-do 2 bathrooms. They said it would take 4 days, meanwhile 6 weeks later the job was not even completed, had to hire a plumber to come in and fix the mistakes. Then, upon home inspection, the poor work cost me thousands in credits to be redone. See for yourself, here is the words right from the inspector. 1. A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (G.F.C.I.) at the hall bath was not properly operational. 2. The stacked stone at the bath tub and sink walls is not sealed between the stones and vulnerable to water entering the walls behind it. This material is normally not recommended for bathroom walls. 3. Movement was observed at a few of the bathroom floor tiles. The flooring appears to be improperly installed. Allow for repair or replacement. 4. The bathroom floor tile was improperly installed, the grout lines are busting and the tiles are loose. The vanity is chipped and missing the shelves. Also, Stacked stone tile was used in the shower. Stacked stone can not be sealed from water and is not intended for that use. Overall the bathroom was poorly done and needs a redo.
