Ridiculously high quote, Beware!

We had an outdoor leak in a very nice looking large home. My mom called her insurance agent to send a plumber and this is how Works Plumbing got involved. They came out quickly which was nice but quoted us $3,800 for the job, claiming it was a complex job that would take more than 2 hours. Since insurance wouldn't cover the leak, we quickly turned them down and had our general contractor come to take a look.

Our contractor didn't have the time or parts to do the job but said that rock bottom someone could fix it for $500 and if you wanted to pay for a premium emergency service, max we should pay was $1,000. He helped to build our home and is one of the more ethical contractors I've ever dealt with. Ultimately we called another company and paid the $1,000 and the job was done under 45 minutes.

Buyer beware if you have a nice looking home or if your mom called and sounded helpless. They tried to fleece us, they may do the same to you.

Jorge was very nice, competent and quick to respond. I called him when my shower drains were clogged up for the first time. Jorge and his coworker were fast and efficient. My water heater went out so I called Works Plumbing. They were fast to respond and fixed my water heater. His rates are very good, He is honest, reasonable and knowledgeable

We had an issue with our sewer pipe. Angel came out and asked me about what my concerns were. He brought out his rotocamera and placed it in my sewer pipe. As the camera went down the pipe he thoroughly explained what the camera was showing. A prior rooter company tried to tell me that I had a cracked leaking pipe. Angel was able to prove to me that wasn't the case. Angel was very professional and addresssed all my concerns.

Horrible service. I called to make an appointment on Tuesday 8-10AM and the technician decided to take the day off that day. They did not call to let me know of this and I waited at home the whole day. I had to call Works Plumbing for them to tell me this and they didn't even bother about it. THANKS FOR NOTHING

They are very responsive and polite every time we call.
They show up on time. They are always able to fix the problem, whatever it may be. We have a good relationship with WORKs and will call them first every time we need plumbing help.

This company came in and saw what my specific needs were and went over and beyond to meet them . The final product was a Better Tankless Water Heater than I had before and great costumer service. l would recommend them to any of my friends. A job well done.

I was a previous 5-star reviewer for Works but today had an unsettling experience. Maybe a year or so ago Works came to our house, unclogged a drain and charged $125. I gave a rave review and filed Patrick's card. This morning we found our basement drain was plugged and I called Works right away and was told we'd have a tech between 1PM-3PM and they would call first to say they were on their way. About 2PM, we heard someone calling ""Hello! Hello! in our garage and it was the Work tech (Douglas). I explained we had a simple plugged drain, probably toilet paper, and that the whole main line had already been replaced the year before so we knew it wasn't anything major like tree roots etc. Douglas informed me it would be $475. to snake the drain. Right. $475. I told him we had it done before for $125., and still had the paperwork and Patrick's card and couldn't believe he was quoting $475. Douglas said he'd call the office and ""..they'd send the other guy"" ~ whatever that meant. I also called the office, questioned the quote and said I was a previous customer. The lady said she'd call back...and did in about 10 minutes with a new quote of $275. to clean a plugged pipe. We took a pass on something that has never cost more than $169.00, from any number of ""rooter companies"" in Daly City. As it turned out, we tried a 1/2 gallon of drain cleaner...waited and hour, stuck the garden hose in the drain and it cleared. We were lucky. But, maybe for a senior citizen with no other choice, this $475. quote in the moment seemed a bit over the top. Just reporting. My suggestion to Works is they might mention their pricing schedule over the phone for simple rooting.

We needed to replace the kitchen faucet and descale/flush out our tankless water heater. Our neighbors highly recommended Works Plumbing. Even though it was not an emergency they sent Douglas out the same morning we called! And what a nice guy. Very professional. The old faucet had so much corrosion he had to cut it out with a power hacksaw. He did a beautiful job and cleanup, and we couldn't be more pleased.

Had a broken water heater. Jorge provided excellent customer service!!! From start to finish, he assisted with the parts replacement process and was able to fix my water heater problem very quickly. This company was sent to fix our drain blockage by our insurance company. George came on April 21st and fix the problem for a week. He removed the toilet bowl but did not run the camera to check the root of the problem. He flushed the blockage and it was fixed for a week until the blockage came back on April 28th. We called our insurance company and he was sent again to clear the blockage. He could not tell us what is causing the blockage. Today, the toilet started to overflow and water was also coming out of the base of the toilet because he did not replace the wax ring and did not properly seal the toilet. Will suggest to the insurance company not to use this plumbing company again.

Very dissatisfied and unhappy customer.
