Our electric bill shot up to almost 3x our usual bill, and it turned out to be the result of a slow dripping leak in our shower. So, our shower cartridge needed replacing, but the screw to remove the shower handle was corroded so I wasn't able to remove it myself to access the cartridge. I really wanted to do this myself to save money since Youtube videos made it look so easy. Well, I spent way too much time trying to get that screw out, and in the end, it wasn't just the screw that had corrosion issues. Woody took care of it like a pro. I highly recommend his services. I spent hours trying to deal with a stuck screw, and eventually I was wanting to saw off the handle and replace the handle and trim entirely. After shopping around and talking to Woody, he mentioned the same thought and I knew we were on the same page. Others were saying they might have to go into the wall piping but a saw to the handle would take care of it without going into the walls, which is exactly what Woody was able to do. Woody was able to provide a flat fee quote for the service. Price-wise initially seemed expensive to me. But after shopping around, most plumbing services charge by the hour. After speaking to several companies, they all sounded like it would have ended up being more expensive based on time charges and the thought process of the expected work involved. On our day of appointment, he arrived on time and even better is he provided a tracker to locate how far he is from arriving that he sends via text (like DoorDash). Idk about most people but I get anxiety waiting for someone to show up and not knowing how far they are, so I really appreciated this simple tracker. He was great with communication and set expectations for the job. He also provided extra spare parts free of charge. After sawing off the handle, he was able to access the cartridge to remove it. The only thing is the cartridge was also jammed in there due to the hard water deposits, which made it impossible to forcibly pull the cartridge out of the piping without potentially damaging the pipes behind the wall. His expertise allowed him to finesse the old cartridge without sacrificing the integrity of the piping. The entire process took about 45 minutes. Based on talking to different plumbers on their approaches/methodologies for the fix, I imagine other plumbers would have taken much longer for the same cost or even more. Woody's cost is for his skillzzzzz, not just his time, and his skills are warranted. If you want to pay for great and reliable service, go with Woody. 5 stars all the way. THANK YOU, WOODY!

I called three different plumbing companies to get quotes to manage my water system, connecting the potable and non-potable so that my plants get watered. When the young man from Woody's came up, he was timely and was pleasant enough. He also seemed knowledgeable. After he looked at the job, he figured out a 'quote'. I was shocked. He tried to sell me a $14,000 water system. I told him I was not interested in spending so much. He then offered the $8000 system, and if I didn't want that, than the original service I asked him to look at was $5000. This is 3 1/2 times more than the other two companies that came up. His ""sales estimates "" were incredibly aggressive. It out me off the company all together Ended up having All Aloha Plumbing do the same work for $1,900. No up selling on whole Home water systems or reverse osmosis. All Aloha did ask if there was anything else's I needed help with while they were there.

Years ago we hired a plumber and the experience was complete dog doo doo and I didn't wanna go thru that again. I am so happy with the experience with Woody's that they are saved in my contacts, my family also said this is our go to if we ever have a plumbing project. There was so many points of service that left an impression. #1, the two companies I contacted first were booked for a week, it wasn't an urgent project but I wanted this done sooner rather than later. My family is installing a washer and dryer and the pipes are so ancient it needs help. #2, I saw on Yelp their service area was central. I live on west side so I was hesitant to contact them. On a whim I reached out, it was maybe 4-5pm when I sent a message. To my surprise they contacted back around 6pm and was prompt in scheduling an appointment for next day. #3, they are up to date with technology, thankfully. They sent me a text to remind me of the service. On the service day, they sent me a pic of my technician so I know whose coming to my house. They also include a link that shows his location, pretty neat because it gives you an idea of when they'll arrive. #4 The quote is what they charge. One of my fears with finding a company was they would quote something low, perform the work then charge a high amount. The quote does say it's an estimate, but an estimate shouldn't be too different from the actual amount. (My opinion.) My technician was on it, the estimate was what was charged. The company also provides the estimate prior, so you know what to expect. #5 My tech was Ryan. Prompt and professional sums him up. He called me when there was a change in scheduling right away. I contacted the office to ask if they can have Ryan call me to give me a quote on a different project and he called back 15 minutes after. The area he was working in was dark, tight, cramped, hot and no airflow. I did not hear him complain once. Also, I appreciated his patience when I was explaining our projects. I'm no water specialist so I don't use the proper terms when explaining what we were looking for. Ryan didn't mind and understood what we were looking for. Great customer service and communication in my opinion. Lastly, I waited 2 weeks to post this because I wanted to be sure the work wasn't a fluke. I have done 3 washes and so far we have had no issues. No leaks or clogs anywhere. The quality workmanship is there so I highly recommend them to everyone.

We had been dealing with extremely low water pressure in one of our bathtubs and slow water pressure in the kitchen & bathroom sink. I chose to contact Woody's Plumbing because of the excellent reviews on yelp. I sent an email through yelp and was contacted within 30 min. I was given a date and time frame as to when the techs would arrive. Unfortunately, due to delays with a project before mine, the tech couldn't make it that day. The lady at the office was very apologetic and kept me up to date as to the delays. I was now scheduled for the next day which was fine with me. Ryan, the first tech was on time. He also called to let me know that he was leaving his first project and heading to my house. He was very professional & courteous. By the way, before the tech arrives, you are sent a picture of the tech and you are also able to track where he is on the road. Awesome! Ryan explained in detail what the problem was with the plumbing and gave me 3 options with the cost of each. He installed water filters outside of my home, checked the water pressures, and changed some very old bathroom fixtures. By the time Ryan left, he was working at my house for 10 hours! He even had to go to Kihei to work on another project with the entire crew! Since this was a two day job, the next tech that came was Peyton. He too, was just as professional and courteous as Ryan. He replaced the shower and tub fixtures for the master bath. It feels so great to FINALLY have strong water pressure when we shower! Both techs also clean up the area they work in. Thank you to the lady that works in the office. She is very pleasant to talk to. If I could give Woody's plumbing 10 stars, I would! Please don't hesitate to contact them with your plumbing issues. Woody and his whole team provides the BEST plumbing services on Maui! After spending a ridiculous amount of money with another company to unclog our toilets, that company gave us an overinflated estimate to renovate our sewer pipes. Woody completed the job for half the price! He descaled our pipes, hydro-jetted the debris, installed a clean-out access line, and spray casted our pipes with the newest technology. Not only is Woody skilled and knowledgeable, he and his team work with aloha and respect, which is essential when people enter your home. Woody replies to your needs immediately and is always responsive, professional, reliable, and punctual. When our toilet and shower backed up, we were frantic trying to find a plumber who could not only respond quickly, but wouldn't take advantage of the urgency of the situation. I called Woody's, (On a Sunday evening), and someone responded within a half hour. Not only did they respond, but I had an appointment for the following morning at 8:30a. Payton messaged when he was on his way, and was here promptly before our scheduled time. Within a few hours, the work had been completely addressed, our bathroom clean, and looking better than ever. Not only was Payton respectful and efficient, he was very knowledgeable and informed us every step of the process about what he was doing. Woody and his team are very knowledgeable and skilled. They are excellent to communicate with and use more advanced technology (like text updates, always answering your calls and questions, and providing online quotes and invoices) to make scheduling very smooth and effortless. I have yet to meet any other home maintenance professionals on Maui that are as responsive and easy to plan with, as Woody. They quickly fixed a sink leak for me and did a beautiful job.
