Called Jack Woods because I was referred to him. He referred me to someone else because he was scheduling a week out and due to the issue we are having he would've referred us on anyway. I value honesty and this man was honest. Thank you Jack Woods.

I have used Jack Woods Plumbing for years. They are competent, but overbearing. They disconnected my whole-house water filter without asking me because the plumber thought the filter was bad for water heaters. I am changing plumbers now. The last straw was, my basement recently flooded & the drain-cleaning company said the water heater would need to be moved to access the sewer pipe. I had 8-10 inches of water in my basement & called Jack Woods at 4:50 pm in a panic. They called me back at 6:00 pm & berated me for calling so late. Really? Don't have an after hours number if you're going to ridicule people for using it when their basement is full of water.

We received an estimate to replace three toilets; the old ones would run water unexpectedly. Ave was our plumber... he installed three toilets, fixed a shower diverter, open three slow drains. On the same-day, our garbage disposal stopped working. He gave me a fair estimate and then replaced my garbage disposal on the spot. He cleaned up after himself, kept me updated on his progress, showed me a few kept tips about my faucet in the powder room. I am over-the-moon with his service. And I'm happy with everything! Thanks Ave!

Had service from Jack Woods Plumbing today. Repaired shower control and installed new valves for ice maker and humidifier. Jim & Jordan did excellent work and we're very professional. Price was very reasonable for service rec

In June, 2017, we hired Jack Wood's Plumbing to install new bathroom faucets. It was supposed to cost $150. Instead we got a bill for $301.20 because without our authorization or knowledge, Jack Woods Plumbing replaced the flex connections with rigid connections. We didn't like it, but just to get past this point we paid and vowed never to do business with Jack Woods Plumbing again.

We soon had a leak that we really thought came from the rain, as rain seemed to increase the volume of the leak (by serendipity, as it turns out). We spent $2,855 on doing repairs on the roof. But the leak persisted. It turns out the leak came from the installation of one of the rigid connections. So we had them all replaced at a cost of $206. We still have to repair the water damage caused by Jack Woods Plumbing's leak.

We really don't like Jack Woods Plumbing.

I used them for the past 25 plus years and found their service to be good with reasonable prices.

The last few times, they were terrible.
* They schedule 5 plus days out and were late.
* The service people are rude and not personable.
*They do not give estimates and are very expensive.
* They are under new management and the old gold standard of plumbing is gone.
I would not use them at all.

I have used a Jack Woods Plumbing for over 15 years at 2 addresses. Recently I called them to fix an outdoor faucet leak. They sent out a man who announced he had bad knees and could not do the work. ""Someone will call you to reschedule"". They called to reschedule and mentioned a Friday when I would not be home. We settled on the following Tuesday. They called Friday and said ""we have a plumber headed your way"". I explained that the appointment was for the following a Tuesday, and they argued with me and said they couldn't find the appointment.
They did arrive on a Tuesday, 2 plumbers for a simple job, fixed the issue in 15 minutes. 2 plumbers were not needed for this job said the plumber when they arrived. They billed me for the minimum visit PLUS 1 plumber PLUSan assistant.
This is not the Jack L Woods Plumbing Company I have used and recommended for 15 years. I will be using another company in the future.

I had a simple project. Replacing a water jet sump pump backup. Plumber arrived at time scheduled. Provided service above. Hourly rate was $94 per hour. I ordered the pump so no supply cost. They were here about 80 minutes as first pump had wouldnt turn off and used second pump I ordered just in case this could happen. (NOTE: ALWAYS order 2 items in case 1 does not function as it should as long as you can return it; nothing like paying a service fee and item doesnt work!!). They were tidy (no mess when they left). They were pleasant. And they charged $94 total when honestly could have charged the extra 20 minutes.

I will use again.

Well, I wish I had read all these reviews before I wasted my money calling this company. I shouldn't taken my friend's word for it that this was a good company. For over a year we hadn't used the shower in the master bathroom because it leaked into the downstairs kitchen. We had access to another shower but finally we decided to bite the bullet and fix the problem once and for all. A plumber from the company came out, couldn't find access to the pipes under the shower so convinced us to allow him to saw a 1 x 1' hole in the soffit in the kitchen to discover where the pipes actually were. He then told us we needed a new assembly- whatever that means. I explained that rather than spend the money on a new assembly, we would prefer to replace the entire shower as well as any plumbing parts required, to prevent further leaking. The guy was in capable of giving us any idea of how much a new shower surround and base would cost. The man left, & I expected to hear back from someone. I thought at the very least they should have given us a written estimate of what the project would cost. Instead, we received a bill a few days later for $100. I called, asked what the charges were for, especially since we now had a gaping hole in the ceiling of our kitchen, and was told that $100.00 was what they were charging us for the service call. After making several more calls to get an explanation for why I was being charged anything, considering that they hadn't fixed anything but had put a hole in the ceiling, I received no more information.
What I find perplexing is that I hear people recommending Jack Woods plumbing all the time. Some of the people who recommend them are contractors. This makes me wonder whether Jack Woods is relying on years of accolades about their company. They certainly don't seem to be doing very well now.I feel like if they had had an experienced, well informed plumber visit our house, we might have gotten a quote and decent service. Nobody who works there seems to care about the reputation of this company.

Avoid at all costs! This is actually my first negative review, so I don't make a habit of this. But, my experience with Jack L Woods was so horrible, I really do feel like I need to warn people. I am also posting this in my neighborhood Facebook group so that I can hopefully save someone the same trouble we have experienced. The plumbing was OK, but they actually completely damaged both new tub/showers I had done one week prior. I was very, very clear with the plumber that both tubs were new and needed a bit of babying. However, he put a huge gouge in one tub bottom and dripped molten metal (which, of course, adhered permanently) on the bottom of the other shower. The worst part is that when I called to talk to them about the damage, they were completely unresponsive. I have pictures of the damage that I sent to the (great!) folks who installed the bathtub/shower - and he said it looks like unbelievable carelessness. Simply putting a soft cloth down would have prevented both issues. Jack L Woods does not return phone calls when they say they will and is not doing anything about this damage. We need to get it repaired right away since there is a gouge out of the tub and I do not want water gathering there. Yet, it's been a week and they will still not get back with us about how it will be addressed. So, if you do use Jack L Woods do not be surprised if they are careless with your property, damage it, then refuse to take responsibility and have it corrected. I can honestly say I've never experienced such awful service in my life. Please - buyer beware!!
