I’m David Partain, the Director of Operations for Woods Comfort Systems. I have been in over two decades in the HVAC field. I began working for the Woods family in 2002. The family’s commitment to client contentment is the primary reason the Woods family has thrived since the year 1956 in the area. It’s a real pleasure to be part of Woods Comfort Systems, and our clients are like relatives too!

Our A/C unit stopped cooling, naturally, on a Friday night. We called first thing Monday morning for service, and learned that we are "Gold members", meaning weekend and night service calls are billed at the same rate as those during business hours. Robert Bender is easy to talk with and shares his experiences. When we determined the fan in the attic was not working and Robert was here for a "diagnostic" visit, he visually inspected our mini-split which was also not cooling and advised us to use our air blower to clean it out - which when we did, made us cold in that area of the house! Because the fan part we needed was back-ordered for 38 days, Robert retrofitted one to get our A/C up and going again. Woods was a five star response!

Our experience was top notch with Woods Comfort Systems. Very rarely have we received such great customer service from any company. Their entire staff from the scheduler, then the technicians, and finally the service representative that came by to make sure everything was working perfectly, were all incredibly polite and well trained. We are enjoying our new AC system and can tell it works so much better than our last one after just a couple of weeks. Two of the team that worked on our unit were veterans as well. Way to go, Woods Comfort Systems, on hiring these great guys. I highly recommend.

I had warranty questions for our heating and cooling systems and David was very helpful. Based on my interaction with David for his excellent customer service, I highly recommend their services.

Robert was kind, considerate and responsive to our needs. Our A/C went out on a Friday night, naturally. We had a miserable weekend: Only on Monday morning when we called for service did we learn that we are "gold" members and service calls are billed at the same rate 24/7. It pays to know your contract status! Robert obviously is knowledgeable and capable: the fam motor we needed was back ordered for 38 days. He retrofitted one to get our A/C operational. He was excellent in explaining operations to us. Since living here in TX, we only have used Woods for all our A/C needs, so I am unable to comment on value.

Our AC stopped cooling over the weekend and we thought we'd try to call for service on Sunday morning just to get set up or leave a VM for return call. Surprised to have someone answer and would be able to get to our home in the afternoon! Wow! Since we weren't going to be available in the afternoon, we chose to have the technician out on Monday instead. Robert Mckinney came and found the capacitor was not functioning and got it fixed in no time at all. Since our 3 AC units were installed in 2002, we had Robert check the other 2 units just in case...all were functioning well! Robert was thorough, friendly, professional, knew what to look for and gave us info on warranty upgrades for the future. Highly recommend Woods!!

Woods Comfort Systems was an absolute waste of time and money. They sent Triston who immediately struck me as not knowing what he was doing. He started pushing buttons on my thermostat and I told him that it was controlled digitally through my phone. His reply was that he didn't know they were wifi/internet capable. Then he asked me if I had any questions or concerns which let me know that he thought he was just there to clean the system and had zero idea we were having problems. Once he was "done" he told me that our system was "dead". I told him that it's impossible to be dead because it cools, just not efficiently. He then admitted that all components worked fine and that it was in fact just low on freon but that under no circumstances could freon be added because no one has R-22 anymore. He also said that our system did not support a replacement freon when it clearly says on the unit itself that it supports R-22 or R-410A. He supposedly cleaned and flushed out our system and again just tried to sell me a new unit. I told him that I would be getting a second opinion. The very next day someone else came out and added freon and had us up and going in a short amount of time. But before he could do that, he had to clean the system that I had just paid $129 for Triston to clean. This was nothing but a sales call for Woods Comfort Systems. They had zero intentions on repairing my system. They were hoping to stumble upon someone who would take their word when he said, "it's dead". I wasted $129.00 using them.

Robert came out and did my seasonal inspection. Since I was in meetings he handled everything with care and precision while still allowing me to do my work without any supervision or worries. After my meetings and the completion of his work we reviewed the findings and was not pushed at all for unnecessary purchases. 10/10 would recommend Robert as your service tech. Very pleasant to be around and good conversation after the job was completed.
