I’m David Partain, the head of operations for Woods Comfort Systems. I have spent more than 25 years in the heating and cooling industry. I began working for the Woods family in the early 2000s. The family’s dedication to client satisfaction is the main reason the Woods family has succeeded since the mid-1950s in Central Texas. It’s a genuine privilege to work for Woods Comfort Systems, and our clients are like family too!

Serenity C.My doctor recommended Woods Comfort Systems, and I'm so happy she did! John H performed an inspection of the system and ductwork- and he found microbial growth in the supply plenum and unseated supply registers. All the work was taken care of. He also installed a UV stick light (RGF Bluair) to help prevent future issues. Booking was quick and easy. They got the work done within a few days of making the request. John and the office staff responded quickly, took the time to answer all of my detailed questions, showed up on time, and were generally awesome to work with. I would definitely recommend!
John H from Woods Comfort Systems just finished fall maintenance on our HVAC. He made adjustments to better even out the airflow and temperatures, and reduced the noise from several ducts when the unit is running full blast. He also installed an adjustable grill in the bedroom that allows me to direct air in multiple directions as needed. Great job!

He cleaned everything out...didn't have to...but he did!

Because of their reputation, we contacted Woods Comfort Systems because our 12 year old Trane Systems was aging. John came to our home in September 2018 an we agreed upon a new Trane A/C for our home in Spring Branch, Texas. We believe the price of the system was extremely fair.
Obout September 27, 2018, Technicians came to our home and removed and replaced our old system with a Trane X17.
All went extremely well until May 2019 when Refrigerant leaked out of the system. Woods immediately dispatched service techs to handle the problem. Soon thereafter, the evaporator coil developed a leak and they also fixed that in a timely manner, at no cost to our family.
Other minor problems developed, at no fault of Woods Comfort Systems and after meeting with David and Jody, we agreed to have the Trane system removed and a new Carrier system installed.
The first week of June, Saul and Dusty came to home and completely removed and replaced our a/c system. Our system is now working perfectly and we are absolutely pleased.
Every Supervisor and every tech that came to our home were very friendly, yet professional; their work ethic is second to none. We had the distinct feeling the Woods Comfort Systems was bending over backwards to please us and that, they did.
They always send personnel to do a follow-up and to inspect the previous job. They are really into quality control.
We have found that when an appointment is made with Woods Comfort Systems, They keep the appointment and are always on time.
Needless to say, we are extremely well pleased with Woods Comfort Systems and so pleased with their employees and their work ethic.
We heartily thank Chris Woods and David Partain for taking such good care of us and in making certain that we were pleased with their products and their installations and follow-up inspections.

We have been a longtime customer of Woods but have recently decided not to use them for the following reasons:
1. Lack of Trust - they always tell us units have to be replaced and cannot EVER seem to be able to fix anything. I believe they have purposely lied about the condition of an AC unit or plumbing fixture so that they can charge more for a total replacement.
2. No Transparency of Costs/Charges - especially with their plumbing services. They charged over $400 to replace a simple part in my kitchen sink. I repeatedly asked for an itemized listing of charges but was told that they cannot do that because they charge per job.
3. Only Interested in Making a Buck - this company has no interest in keeping a good customer and is only interested in making a buck by overcharging and never actually fixing anything - they just say "you have to replace it".
I got a new system a year ago and reluctantly went with Woods due in great part to the salesperson who seemed slippery at best. I wanted the Bryant system and for the most part have been happy with the actual unit so my low rating has to do with my experience with the company itself Since my purchase, I've experienced several other slippery issues including the warranty and scheduling. For example, I made an 8:00am service appointment and was told I would be the first person on the schedule for that day so I made arrangements for my wife to be home then. The service rep did not show up and when I called to see what happened, they pleasantly told me that they tried to reach me on my cell that morning, but because I did not answer they did not come. I was told that their policy was that they had to be able to reach the customer that morning or they would not show up. I then pointed out how my wife WAS home and available and if they called my home number which they also had, they would have reached her. Had they told me ahead of time that they needed to reach me specifically on my cell phone, I would have made arrangements to be available. When I then tried to schedule another appointment, they were not able to give me a definite confirmation though after my experience, I am not sure what good that would do anyway, They'll get the job done, but I'd recommend going with another company if you can.
Just had Woods Comfort Systems out to do a repair. Ended up needing to replace the a/c condenser on our house. We called them this morning and they had it fixed by 7:30 PM. Absolutely amazing service. John Eddie and Issac did a terrific job and did not quit until the job was complete. I whole heartedly recommend Woods. Great job! - Cold air is NICE !

The service has always been very professional and on time. On the last service call John performed our routine maintenance program - Replaced Filters (Carrier Capture & Kill). We also have an Electronic Air Cleaner that he cleaned. John showed us the before and after cleaning throughout our entire system - Great Job - Thank You!
We had our initial warranty visit from John Haug. We were very impressed by his professionalism and caring attitude. He explained all to us about the Lennox unit in our new home and what our warranty covers and what Lennox will cover.
I look forward to working with John Haug in the future for whatever needs I might have concerning our new Lennox system.

Donald D.I originally had contacted Woods Comfort Systems in San Marcos when my 10 year old Trane air conditioner stopped working. Their technician charged me $50 to tell me my condensor motor was bad, and needed to be replaced for $1,800. Then their "comfort advisor" advised me not to replace the motor but that I would better off replacing the entire inside and outside unit, thousands of dollars!!
Then I contacted Legacy A/C in New Braunfels. Raymond, a BRILLIANT technician came out today and checked my entire system and found the source of my problem. My drain line had become clogged and my top of the line Trane system has an automatic shut-off that shuts off the system to prevent an overflow, he cleaned out the line, and for only $129 my air conditioning system if running great.
Thank goodness there are still companies out there like Legacy who were able to correctly diagnose the problem and who send out qaulity techicians.
