A great deal has transformed since we launched Woodruff Energy in 1869. Our journey began with coal deliveries to families and businesses across Southern New Jersey, we have expanded into a full-service HVAC, plumbing, and remodeling company, catering to thousands of customers from the Delaware River to the Garden State Parkway. Over the past 150 years in South Jersey, our loyalty to the local businesses and communities has been unwavering.

For the initial 80 years, we concentrated on coal sales, managing operations from the Woodruff family residence. In 1931, we became the first local coal dealer to offer fuel oil, and we launched a service department, branding ourselves as a ""Complete Heating Service"" provider. Woodruff Energy has consistently adapted to meet our customers' evolving energy needs. Lately, we have diversified our services to include biofuels, natural gas, propane, heating oil, and HVAC.

Woodruff, Jr. earned his BSBA in Agricultural Business from the University of Delaware. As the fifth generation to lead the company, Bob assumed the role of Co-President in 2006 and became President in 2009. He has guided the company into expanding natural gas and propane sectors, and introduced Biofuel into the home heating oil and diesel sectors. In addition to his leadership at the company, Bob engages actively in his community. He currently holds a position on the Board of Directors at the First National Bank of Elmer, acts as Treasurer of the Marlton Recreation Association Board, is Treasurer of the Woodstown Little League, and is the Founder of the Woodstown Heat Baseball Club. Bob has also held the position of Vice President for the Fuel Merchants Association of New Jersey. Bob and his wife Jennifer reside in Pilesgrove, NJ, along with their three children: Kathryn, Robert III, and Benjamin.
