Wolfgang relocated to Phoenix in 1976, where he honed his skills at a nearby air conditioning business for six years. He established Wolfgang's Cooling and Heating Corporation in 1982. He emphasized quality workmanship, careful detail, and a commitment to high standards and built a loyal and expanding customer base.

In 2000, following German tradition, Wolfgang handed over the business to his son-in-law, David Hinze, and long-time employee Tim Graves. They work together to maintain the solid principles and traditions set forth by Wolfgang. Even though Wolfgang is not involved in daily operations anymore, his principles still strongly influence the company and its quality standards.
