Wolfer's Home Services
Company Overview
Expert plumbing and water quality services. Lennox dealer with a 110% money-back guarantee.
Founded in 1901, Wolfer's Home Services has a rich history. In 1901, Edwin Wolfer opened the doors of the company in Anita, Iowa, close to the Lennox manufacturing site. Edwin shifted the business to Oregon after his wedding in 1915. Wolfer's proudly stands as one of Woodburn's oldest enterprises, as well as the second oldest Lennox dealership across the United States.
The company has experienced numerous changes in the heating and air conditioning sector. Central heating systems were not widely used when the business started. The area evolved from using coal and sawdust burners to adopting oil heat, and then gas and heat pumps. In the mid-1960s, the company began installing air conditioning units and heat pumps. They installed their first heat pump at the ArrowHead Golf Club.
Today, the company focuses on the installation and repair of heating and cooling systems. Additionally, we offer indoor air quality services and sheet metal fabrication. Our services are available for residential and commercial customers. General Manager and long-time team member of Wolfer's Home Services.

Perfect gentleman did a great job and explained everything well.
Gave suggestions about filters and good airflow.
For what ever reason they keep blowing off the service appointments . Second time in a row that the cancel the appointment day of.
However in talking with Megan she was able to get us rescheduled for later this week.
She saved the day!
Today we had a service tech. come and look at an area that had water bubbling out of the ground. He proceeded to quote us $3000 without even investigating what was broken. After declining the service, we proceeded to dig down to see that the waterline had a tee that was capped off and the cap had broken. $2.11 for a new cap at Home Depot and a small amount of glue problem was fixed. Be aware of this company and how they go about quoting jobs. Absolutely disgusting.
I want to thank Wolfer's Home Services to the Plumber (Mr Nichols), Drain Tech (Juan) and the Plumbing Manager (Marcus)!!I I received top notch service and please know this is the company to call! They have excellent communication skills and take exceptional care of their customers! Thank you Wolfer's Home Services for your phenomenal service!!!!
From the quote with Jared to the installation by Ethan and Blake, I had outstanding service!! Jared spent as much time as needed to make sure that I understood exactly what each furnace would provide! Ethan and Blake were very professional and worked tirelessly to complete the installation! Ethan made sure that I understood the thermostat!! I would highly recommend Wolfer's after my wonderful experience!! Karen Zakrzewski
Only one week later, we called Wolfers again, this time for a leaking pipe under the bathroom sink. David came promptly, was extremely knowledgeable, had the exact part with him in his truck, and quickly replaced the leaking pipe with a brand new one. I liked how he gave me the quote and got my approval before the work was done, took a look at our leaking outside faucet, gave us a requested quote for the future, and checked our water heater and additional outside faucet to make sure they were working. We highly recommend both David and Wolfers. I just read how they began in 1901..I can see why.... great company, personnel and expertise!
Joe B.Everyone with wolfers are always professional and wanting to satisfy the customer. In the last 2 months we've had a water heater installed and a new hvac unit installed. From Jr. and Allen to Ciro and Rizdin. Top notch crews. Top notch employees. You've gotta pay them to keep them.
We had Wolfer's install our new furnace last summer. They did a poor job originally but redid it to our satisfaction.
This review is for a service call. We had an electrical issue and since we are on their furnace/AC service plan there is only a $49 service charge.
The electrician solved the issue in 30 minutes and I was charged $400! Because wolfer's hourly rate is $650/hr!!! I couldn't believe it, and almost had a heart attack when I heard how much they charge! I think it's totally unreasonably high!
I certainly will look elsewhere and may drop their services altogether.
I do want to point out that the electrician sent was great - nice, attentive, and hopefully solved the issue.
My only gripe is the cost charged by Wolfer's. I just can't get past the $650/hr charged for an electrician.
Wolfers installed a new water heater -- highly inflated price, but we were desperate. After blowing air through the lines, our kitchen faucet had next to no pressure. It had worked perfectly prior to the water heater installation. A service man was dispatched -- at a cost of $99! He removed the faucet and looked at it, then said it was inoperable and we could buy one from them and he would installed it for$1250. OR we could buy one and he would install it for $650. After he left, we removed the faucet from the hose and found that the filter was clogged with goo which had to come from blowing out the air in the pipes. In addition, we have been unable to get an invoice from them showing the installation date to document the age. When we call the number in the website, we get another company. Try again -- still a different company. It seems impossible to contact them. Stay away from this company.
Refused to replace a part that was still under warranty. The technician who originally did the work was pleasant, polite, and professional. I hope that he has moved on to a better company. Unfortunately the part he installed went bad in 3 years. The warranty is for 5 years. When I contacted the company for a replacement, I was given the run around. I was told that I would be called back. Over an hour went by, and I called again. They said that they could get someone out 4 days later. I told them that I would be out of town then. The response was rude, so I let them know that I would be contacting the BBB and writing a review. I was told to, ""Go right ahead.""
