Charlie A.I highly recommend Wisler Plumbing. We have used Wisler Plumbing in the past and they have always been great. Mike Walker fixed the plumbing in our bathrooms and was very personable and professional. Thank you Mike for a job well done!
Ari D.We had signed up for their ""Diamond Club"" membership.
After all was said and done, we were not happy with their ""benefits"" to being a Diamond member. It took months, MONTHS before they could get to our home and do their annual check.
The inspection is part of the Diamond ""benefits"" that comes with the monthly fee taken out automatically from our bank account. So they get paid upfront. But what we noticed is the inspection was more for them and not us. While I am sure it appears they are looking to help the homeowner. it is more of a way to sell their costly repair services.
And they are NOT cheap! We had pre purchased 2 faucets to replace the older ones. The old were not broken and worked fine. They are just,,,, old. Nobody on the phone would give us an estimate, but said the tech had to give that. Fine.
Months later when he arrived, they wanted (as Diamond members) almost 400 dollars to replace two simple faucets. The pricing is pre pre-printed in a binder. So, I believe the person who scheduled the appointment CULD have let us know what they were charging. But I am also sure that this price would have scared us away.
((One of the reasons why we used them and not Ostrom was because when Ostrom gave us a price (on other work) we said ""O"" C*#P! But when you compare Wisler and Ostrom, they are almost the same prices.))
That being said, I am going to take a stab at this and let others know my opinion that we in the Roanoke Valley are being hoodwinked with pricing. Because there is no competition, all of the locals have priced everything HIGH as well as in the same ballpark. So the customer is being taken advantage of. imo.
Another thing that frustrated me was the tech had put their stickers on our products without asking. When he did his inspection, he added them to our water heater and our garbage disposal. While I appreciate the notice they were here and the date, they didnt install our garbage disposal. When we tried to remove the sticker from the garbage disposal, it removed part of the paint. (This is a new disposal) Whatever they use for glue on the stickers does not come off easily.
We are not happy with the pricing. There was a day when we had something called a relationship. In which the business treated the customer fairly, and they have them for life. They didn't gouge them because they wanted to be their personal contractor. Now days it is no longer a long term relationship, but more of a date. They have to take your money up front because there is no concern about being at that house again. Imo.
Last Tuesday, Wisler replaced both elements and both thermostats in my water heater for just under $600. This included a $79 evaluation fee. In order to do the work, the tech had to drain the tank. When he left, he pointed to a small puddle of water next to the tank and told me that would dry up in a day or two. It didn't. I called Wisler back and told them about the water. The same tech came back out and tightened the drain valve. He ended up capping the valve to stop the leak. Wisler charged me a second $79 evaluation fee. You decide. I feel the tech should have insured the drain valve was completely closed before he left. Wisler apparently feels I should pay them for coming out a second time even though they left with a problem unaddressed. Should Wisler have taken the high road and stood behind their work?
Buster W.Had them come out today to replace my washing machine faucets,,was quoted $255 for 2 $5 faucets,,rejected the quote an told him to leave,,still had to pay the $79 service call,,BEWARE!!!!
Debbie M.They have bent over backwards to help me in a bad situation with my house. I cannot thank them enough and highly recommend.
Wisler installed a tankless water heater replacing 2 old tank water heater. The 3 men performing this task were very professional, personable and hard working. We are very pleased with the results. We have hot water quicker than we did with the old system. We have used Wisler on several occasions and will continue to call them for plumbing needs.
Terry L.Wisler quickly opened the drains in my bathroom sinks, but in their haste and use of a metal ""auger"" to ""clear the clog"" they broke the flanges on both popup tubes. They left without mentioning that they did this. I realize that my popups are plastic instead of metal, but they should have been more careful. I won't use this company again!
Wisler Plumbing renovated 3 bathrooms for us and provided assistance with choice of fixtures and cabinets, a detailed plan outlining every day of the project, professional employees and subcontractors who always arrived on time and quick resolution of any problem that arose. You can find cheaper plumbing contractors but the service and finished project were well worth the cost.
Bob C.The service provided by Wisler was outstanding from start to finish......from the initial phone call - I believe her name was Jennifer - to arrange a time and date for a service technician to take care of our problem .....to when Mark arrived at the specified time and resolved the issue........the customer service given, the work performed and the follow-up provided were excellent!
Needed two sinks hooked up. I had brand new supplies for the job. 69$ service call (completely understandable), but the total for approximately 1 hour of work came out to $405. My wife was the only one there during the repair and estimate. They did provide this estimate to her upfront, however that is excessive for 1 hour of work. Won't use again.
On a positive note, they did show up when they said they would.
