I used this company once in 2015 but recently someone named Macy keeps calling and leaving messages about an unpaid invoice from 11/2022. I haven't used their service since 2015 and moved out of state so I thought they must've mixed up my old info with someone else's and I called to let them know they were either being scammed or something was wrong with their system.

The person I assume is Macy was very rude and was convinced I was in the wrong by not paying their invoice. She was unwilling to listen and basically decided I was lying from just a phone number. At the end I just told her to remove my information from their system and to never call me again.

So beware when you give them your information, they might accuse you of not paying for an invoice from a job that you never asked them to do.

Winstead replaced our water boiler system. We had no hot water for about 6 weeks. When it was done I had no water pressure in my condo since January. They came out and looked at it and replaced the faucet in my bath tub. I then had pressure only there not in my sinks. The said that debris came through the line and clogged my faucets. The charged me for the work that they should have guaranteed. They even threatened to take legal action when I refused to pay it. They said it was my fault as it was inside my unit. Their work was half assed and they don't stand behind their work. Very bad business.

Another plumber referred me to Winstead for some outdoor drainage work because they had the right equipment. They were nice, thorough and didn't blow my budget. I'll call them again. Keep up the good work!

Disappointed! Our HOA hired Winstead to do a plumbing repair. I was concerned when the plumbers said they were placing the toilet in our brand new newly installed tub. I didn't stand over them and watch them work, but I should have.
The tub is damaged and they are being very difficult to work with and even refused to complete the plumbing job. Resource One completed the job and were very professional.

I usually do my own plumbing work, but I met my match on a kitchen sink clog from onions and spinach put down a garbage disposal. I had snaked from under the sink and the cleanout on the roof, tried covering the drain waste vent and using a shop vac on the drain pipe under my sink, and finally a chemical product that has served me well in the past, all to no avail. I gave up and looked for recommendations on nextdoor.com, where I found great reviews from several people in my neighborhood. I called them just before noon and asked them to both clear the clog and hydrojet clean my main line, which had been slow for some time. Not all plumbers can do hydrojet cleaning/clearing, but Winstead has the equipment. About 2 hours after my call, Arturo and Gerardo (I hope I remembered their names correctly) came out and immediately cleared the clog with a bigger snake and a second head needed after a bend in the pipe blocked the initial attempt. They did this very quickly. Then, at my request, they snaked the whole line from the kitchen side of my house and hydrojetted the main 4-inch line on the other side of my house and out to the street. These guys were at my door at 2:01 p.m. and had all work done at 2:59 p.m. I could have spent another day on that, but that's how the pros roll. I'm really glad I called them and I am glad to refer them. The guys were super-polite and friendly, too. The kind of people you are comfortable having inside your home. Thanks for the great work.

Winstead Plumbing was recommended by Pickins Services LLC (contractor) - both owners are friends - to repair a broken gas line on the owner side of the gas meter. Repair of the gas line was uneventful but there was a leak detected during a pressure check. Approximately 7 different Winstead Plumbing employees on 3-4 different crews worked on the leak over the next 1.5 days climbing throughout the attic. In doing so, one worker stepped completely through the den ceiling making a hole about the size of a basketball but did not mention it to me until I discovered it. While I was not worried about it getting repaired, they did not apologize or even acknowledge it (non English speaking workers). Pickins Services later repaired the ceiling. Approximately 3 weeks later we attempted to turn on our furnaces to heat the house and one furnace would not produce any heat, so we called our furnace company. They discovered that when Winstead was attempting to isolate the gas leak by isolating and capping the gas lines to my two furnaces, two water heaters and two fireplaces, they failed to reconnect one of the gas lines back to a furnace. The furnace company indicated it would be an additional charge to blow the lines out and reconnect the gas line, and recommended I call the plumber back instead, which I did. Winstead came out two days later to reconnected the gas line to the furnace. Approximately two weeks later, a week prior to Xmas, we attempted to turn on the gas logs in our fireplace without success, nor could I smell any gas emanating from either fireplace. I again called Winstead but it took them a week to come out as they stated they were busy repairing all the frozen water lines from other residences that ruptured during the below zero weather we were experiencing. This time the owner came out and discovered that neither of my two fireplaces had been reconnected back to the gas line either and he repaired both without incident. When I mentioned the issues I had encountered, he indicated that, while he was aware of the previous furnace issue, he was not aware of the ceiling issue. He offered that this was an atypical service for some of his workers who were better in other plumbing related areas. As a result, I was without use of our fireplaces during Xmas when I had 15 family members staying for the holidays.

My concern is the lack of any quality check that should have been conducted after disconnecting and capping the gas lines, that workers who were not experienced in gas line repairs (by the owner's own admission) may have performed some of the work, and the fact that no apology for the delays, the repeated trips to complete the reconnects, nor for the incident with the ceiling occurred. Furthermore, no offer was made, albeit not requested, for any partial refund or credit for future service work.

I would be hesitant to call Winstead Plumbing again for any future plumbing services.

We have been using Winstead Plumbing for our apartment complex for many years. They are always prompt, very accommodating in emergency situations, always an excellent job at very reasonable prices. Big job, small job, they will be there as soon as possible and your problems will be gone within hours of their appearance! Jeff, the owner, is great at explaining the problems and figuring out the best solutions. He answers all my questions (even the numerous "dumb" ones!) and definitely goes the extra mile to give us happy solutions. Gerraldo is a God-send! I once called him late on a Saturday night when he wasn't even on call. He not only answered my call, he took several hours out of his own time to help me resolve my problem. All the guys (Victor, Arturo, Raul, etc...) are amazing. Wonderful company, wonderful plumbers!
